Are you in search of Mr. or Miss Right? Internet dating is the number one way couples meet these days, and Match.com is leading the way with 15 million members. But is there a right way to do it? Meredith says while her friends have found "the one," all she's found is the hairiest one, the baldest one and the shortest one! Her friend, Lauren, says Meredith's just too darn picky. Will Meredith throw out her list of pet peeves and give men more of a chance? Then, Lynette has never tried online dating because she's scared of who might show up. With the help of Match.com, she learns to create a winning profile, and quickly racks up a list of eligible men. See the surprise Dr. Phil has for her to ensure that she will actually meet some of these guys. And, Brett says he's tired of playing games and is ready to settle down. His perfect mate, chosen by Match.com, is sitting in the audience, but will he be able to pick her out of the crowd? If you want to better your chances of finding "the one," this is the show for you! Of course, all the advice will work quite nicely right here at MatchDoctor.

That ought to be some real entertainment. I like Phil, but his show has gotten too flashy for me ever since he got his new set. He probably has stock in Match.com.
One thing's for sure, if I really want to meet someone, I go fishing, not get a prescription.

^^Agreed with him becoming too flashy. He's only one step up from Jerry Springer these days.

Ya think? I find his message remains the same.
Maybe the problem is not enough people are willing to listen and he's feeling he has to pander to a lower common denominator?

Seen enough of Dr. Phil to know he is not the voice of reason in any way shape or form. Just another idiotic joke, reminds me of Jesse Jackson at times. I would never buy into anything he advocated. Although it did make me curious enough to go check out that site, for laughs.

"Dr." Phil is a prick(IMO ).. There's this girl here in my town, whom I've had a major crush on for nearly 20 years, who was actually going to be ON his show about 3 years ago, but when her now soon-to-be-ex husband found out that the show was going to be about HIS sorry-ass, he refused to fly out to be on the show, and she was never on. A few years ago, Phil had a valentine special, and, in cooperation with some dating site(The name of which escapes me at the moment), were giving away a million 3-month subscriptions to this dating site. Naturally, I signed up and never found anyone.

I enjoy his shows. He's just too damn funny. A master of stating the obvious. And what is up with those chairs? They look like giant baby chairs. I've wondered if people need to be lifted up with forklifts.
Also always enjoy the moment at the end of the show as the credits roll when he strolls across to the audience, grabs his wife by the hand and drags her out like a bag of potatos.

Well, unfortunately, the obvious is what most people don't want to see or hear, so....
As for he and his wife, Robin, I find it terribly sweet that he acknowledges her that way.

As a rule, I find daytime television an obvious ploy to get people to work a million hours per week.

My Mom sure believes in him, but I personally can't stand him. Maybe it's the overkill of talk shows and reality programs nowdays, but I find him unbelievable more than the opposite.

That particular installment of The Doctor Phil Show was not much more than an infomercial for Match.com with elements of the Dating Game and Blind Date mixed in.
Phil said that online dating is the number one way singles are looking for a match these days. That would be true only for those singles who have a computer and use it on the Internet I would think.

If it wasn't for Oprah, no one would even know who Dr. Phil is. I don't care for him much myself either. There's no doubt that he has major stock in Match.com...he's their number one spokesperson. Is it any wonder that he'd be pushing it on his show?
