The answer is, yes. There are a few mixed in the peopleation. And they usually speak using Hummgrammar. Which is spoken without periods (.) or commas(,) which are sent to me ,,,,,.........i revel in the abundance!,,,,, ......,,,,,.....even though i am somewhat disslexehk i lyke to reed here at mD and tri too wryt sum reeplii...... ,,,..and i want to thank those who tolerate my extreme swings in mood and intelligence/knowledge, and especially those few who appreciate the results of my efforts to distract myself.
Sincerely, thank you.

I don't think the 'Net eBonics' can get typed any faster than correctly spelled words, that is if you learn how to type correctly in the first place...

Bad spelling and very bad grammar are BIG turn-offs in my book. My grammar is definitely not perfect, but I at least try to show I've been educated. If a person cannot get homonyms straight or cannot construct a sentence that makes sense, I typically just ignore the person and go on about my way.

Were you going to add anything constructive to this conversation or did you just enter to prove that very few people spell correctly nowadays?

Oops, I was going to write a snippy comment until I saw your post just above mine and now I wonder if you thought my 'neway' was in any way dismissive of your post. If that's what you were thinking......nope, not at all. Didn't even see your post.
AND I simply typed it that way because 'neway' is another fairly common alternative-spelling, at least among kids these days. If you didn't figure it out and thought I actually think 'anyway' is spelled 'neway', don't feel bad. It took me at least 5 times of re-reading an email from my daughter to get it. Just to save one keystroke! So.....now you know why that post fits perfectly in this thread! :)

Well I for one am not so perfect that I would pass someone up because they can't spell .Some people have trouble because of learning disabilities.I have never understood why people are so anal about stupid things.

I find net ebonics distracting and difficult to read, but I only get anal about my own writing. I don't judge other's writing.

I will admit that I can't spell worth a dime! But I try lol, and this country is messed up because there are so many words that are pronounced the same but all mean different things, it gets confusing! I'm well educated just not in english apparently haha!

I TRY, keyword there, to use proper grammer/english what have you, but when I'm talking to a friend that I've known for a while, I do get lazy and so do they. But, when it comes to talking, err writing, in public, isn't proper better and easier to understand?

I think most people who use U and B4, etc., are probably chat room users. I find it very hard to keep up in chat rooms, so I don't frequent them, but I noticed when I tried that almost all of them have a short-hand version of the English language. And I think it's because the room moves so quickly.
I did not do well in spelling in school. So I was really surprised to find that there are a ton of people out there who spell so much worse than I do. hahaha I love it! :)
I sometimes wish people would take the time to learn the difference between there and their and quite and quiet...oh and sale and sell. And I'd REALLY love it if someone could get my ever so stubborn mind to understand the difference between effect and affect. I just cannot grasp the difference.

The bad spelling frustrates me as well. I'm a little less picky about grammar, but oh my god would I LOVE to be faced with some hot grammarian one of these days!
I can make allowances for those who don't function with English as their first language, but otherwise it just annoys me to no end.
I am also dyslexic, so my feeling is: "If I can spell, you can too!"

Well, I think I should add another category to this topic.... A STROKE! I'm beginning to think that I'VE had a stroke! For some reason, in the past few days, I can't type worth a s***! I have to keep backspacing to correct the spelling of words that I NEVER had a problem spelling!
