Not just strokes, but Hypertension, High Blood pressure kills off random spots in the brain... so over time it really does drain bamage, (brain damage)....

Like it or not I think Language is evolving,(or Devolving)...
I for one would welcome some changes...
Silentgh Letters? why?
and "I" before "E" "ALWAYS", or never, pick one already
it would be ok with me if it where simplified, so every-1 cood spel good

I have been on Im with someone and had no idea what the heck they were saying...I got tired of asking so now I just fake it........and am ever learning..
I understand that not everyone spells good,.... but to do it on purpose...I'm not talking to you because I don't understand you?!?! I think it is Ebonics or something like that.... 
BUT....on the other hand...if teenagers talk to each other like that...it's ok...I think it's funny to watch my 15 yr old type out a messge to one of her friends....

I'm seeing a lot of this in email at work, and the consensus is that it come from the shortcuts used in text messaging. A text message for "See you later" would be "C u l8r" for example. I don't know if it's from the way cell compaines charge for text, the small phone screens, or what, but all most all text users seem to do it.

Yes texting and chatting both have a lot of abbreviations that have found their way into daily language. It's hard trying to teach children the correct way to write some things when all they see is the wrong way. Habits are hard to break. I know how to spell most words and I know correct grammar but sometimes when chatting or posting I take the shortcuts too.

I for one, suck at spelling, and my grammar leaves a lot to be desired too. I am picking up more, the more I communicate online though. Spell Check is also a great tool.
I also, have to ask people what some things mean. Had an email last night in fact. Still waiting for an answer from him.  I do understand why we use some of it, like Touch said, all the IM's and Texting that goes on. Some people don't seem to realize though, that there are still people in the world that don't do that. ME!
As has already been pointed out, sometimes we get in such a hurry to post something, that we fail to notice our mistakes. Usually though, there is time to go back and correct them, but I have posted things and not noticed, and no one pointed it out. OOPS, thats probably one there... too long of a sentence.  (love those guys)

Hah! It is your bad karma is all Stormy. I have very good grammer and spell quite well but after reading quite a few threads where people complained about grammer and spelling, I decided to deliberately spell wrong and add a bit a slang here 'n there jus ta piss people off and run 'em off. Cuz I don't want people that have that kinda issues. If little shit like that bugs them, I would go batshit if I got with them and had to LIVE with that mentality.
Therefore, I sprinkle LOTS of bad english and spelling in my posts kinda like a protective amulet.... ya know?  And it works GREAT!  
Oh, and I use LOTS of moties to piss off the motie haters so they stay the hell away from me as well. No room in MY life for haters. Of ANY kind.
