Sometimes, I do wander if they still know what it means to be a wife and mother at all. Compared with women from other countries they are just so immature when it comes to relationship, responsibility and commitment.

Some do and some choose not to. Isn't freedom of choice wonderful?

I met people from almost every country, when you lived in N.J. metro area for 20 years and you grow-up in Europe you have a lot to compare when it comes to people.

Economics has a lot to do with the home life today. I would prefer to be able to give a wife a chance to be a traditional wife and mother if that's what she wants. Unfortunately I don't make the kind of money that would make it a simple choice.

And thus part of the problem today when both parents have to work to support their chosen lifestyle. Then who raises the children, someone else.

Always consider the source...
I think it's actually pretty recent that women really had a choice...we were usually working the fields while the men were out hunting, spinning and weaving and sewing, not to mention all that canning and preserving stuff. I think if you look at earlier societies, you'll find the well-to-do usually had their nannies, while the poor generally had their grannies taking care of the kids.
As usual, I can only speak for myself...I took care of my own kids, took in a few foster kids, took care of my parents in their final days, ten years of taking care of my mom, and still managed to develop a pretty decent career. My kids still like me, and even my ex publicly thanked me for the way I handled things. I'm actually pretty damned proud of the way I've handled my responsibilities, relationships and commitments.
Hey Mike - how've you handled yours so far?

Let's see....
I have a job....I choose not to have a relationship, as I am responsible enough not to drag a man into my life, when it's all about my career right now....
I do not have kids...I am responsible enough to take the pill, and wait until I am settled and married.
I take marriage seriously, would never wed just for the heck of it.
Once in a relationship, I give my undying love and attention.....hence the void at the moment...seeing I can't give that....

Compared with women from other countries they are just so immature when it comes to relationship, responsibility and commitment. Huh? Immature? Most American women have TOO much responsibility, especially if they have a husband AND children.
btw, I don't believe in it being a fact that it takes two incomes to raise a family and run a household. Geez, how many SINGLE mothers are doing it on just ONE?

Sometimes, I do wander if they still know what it means to be a wife and mother at all. Compared with women from other countries they are just so immature when it comes to relationship, responsibility and commitment. Interesting to see that you are single with no children and from what I see not even American. Well, as a single mom who is American (and DAMN proud of it might I add) what is wrong with you? I have two jobs (working on getting a third one), am a full time student and am a full time single mom. I am home with my son, and he is the brightest one in his class. I understand a two year old doesn't have a hard day at day care, but he is well above two year old status mentally. What do you define responsibility as? Commitment...hmmmmmm.....no, I am not commited to anyone. What about my son??? That's a pretty important relationship, responsibility and commitment. It will only last for the rest of my life...some people's children.
oh yeah, did I mention that I am proud of my son, proud to be a single mom and proud to be an AMERICAN? If I didn't, forgive me....cuz I am.

I do wander if they still know what it means to be a wife and mother at all. Why don't you ask my mother, who suffers physically because she has to balance an emotionally ill daughter (myself), a pre teen (enough said), and a husband who is in and out of work and almost never home to help out, TWO jobs that are extremely stressful on her, a dirty house, tuition costs, psychiatrist and psychologist costs, bills, new clothes for my sister and me, money to pay the bills to keep the house lit and warm, money to keep four cars full of gas, and money to keep dinner on the table? After all of this, she takes the time to sit down and make sure that what she is cooking is something we all want to eat. She takes the time to sit down and talk to us if we've had a bad day. She is always there with a hug. This woman is balancing my life, my sister's life, and my father's life on her shoulders....and once in awhile, she deserves to sit in front of the tv and do absolutely nothing. That's childish?!?!?!?!

Women need barcoded tattoos across their foreheads so that we can scan them to reveal what their real interests or goals are without trying to play any guessing games. Hence, we can pick or toss what best suits our (men's) desires instead of having to go through the pain staking process of discovery which later reveals incompatibility ("discovering" each other over time is wasted valuable time, in my opinion, and it's much better to cut to the chase).
