Sitting here with thumbs up hiney, I began to ponder my past. My primary train of thought was things I used to do when I had that other person (male) in my life:
1. I shaved my legs more often than once a week
2. I bathed other than Saturday night.
3. I wore something to bed other than this 25 year old flannel nightie and socks
4. I held hands - now I have to hold my on.

Hiya Holding - sheesh, I thought I wandered into the Missing Persons thread...
Hmmmmmm....when I had a S/O -
1. I used to make dayum sure I got out of work on time, or better yet, early.
2. Planning a meal involved a lot more than what's quick and easy.
3. Doing crosswords was a joint venture, and a lot of laughs on the way to solution.
4. I had sooooooo much more energy...celibacy is so....boring.
5. And yep, those silky little things are just taking up space in the dresser.

Oh my, this should be a good thread - when I had an S/O:
1) I worried about how long I was out shopping
2) I had to share the tv remote and watch more history channel than any sane person should have to
3) I had someone to handle the physical demanding tasks around the house
4) Didn't have to worry about when oil changes were due or if that weird sound in the car was important
5) Went to bed on time....and not alone!

I had something other than this frigging dog to curl up next to, but what the heck - he is warm and furry and he doesn't mind that flies could land on my legs and be stabbed to death

Holding! You left before I saw this and could tell you hello! I've missed you!
1. I didn't impale small critters with my legs.
2. I could rearrange my furniture. (Well, I supervised...)
3. I cleaned house more. (Gotta set an example.)
4. I had more friends and actually left the house once in a while.
5. Worried about different issues.
6. Washed my hair on a Regular basis.
7. Had larger loads of laundry (he was 6'5").
8. Supported Revlon and Estee Lauder.
