First and foremost "Dog the Bounty Hunter" 
Second "Gene Simmons Family Jewels"
Third "Inked!
Thankfully "Growing up Gatti" is now history, as is "Criss Angel Mind Freak"
This stuff has GOT to go folks!!! We need to DEMAND Higher Quality Programming! 
Come to think of it, these are or were ALL on A&E!!
They seem to have a new Program Director, with pretty strange taste! I think he came over from the Discovery Channel after creating "Dirty Jobs"!!

I agree. But the problem is...there's an audience for every one of them. I personally think they should go back to shows like "Little House", "The Waltons" etc. ...shows that portrayed some character and dignity. But I'm afraid those days are gone.

Get rid of Lifetime.. television for idiots!
Everytime I've happened upon this channel, nearly EVERY woman in the movies they show is smoking! A great example for teen girls who might be watching.

Not a bad idea Sun.. 
I don't watch much TV, but when I do, I'd like there to be a lot better choices! It's just getting crappier and crappier all the time.. More channels but a lot less to really watch.
Reality TV hasn't really helped much either.  And even the premium movie channels often show movies from back in the 50's. For this we pay extra!?!?
Like TRS said, I think an awful lot more used to go into programming than does in this era.

Get rid of all that faked up "Reality TV" crap, reruns of 1960's Bozo the Clown shows would be better than Survivor and Apprentice and all the rest of that nonsense. All those shows are nothing but popularity contests. If you want to have a survivor show, drop 25 people off on an Island with just what they are wearing, then come back in a year and see who's left.

Dump The Appremtice. Donnald Trum does not get my respect as a human being, let alone a real estate mogol.
Dump American Idol. Simon is a rude bully set out to discrace the contestants. And Paula appears to be under the influence of some intoxicant. And the winners? None of the have achieved super stardom. The hottest they ever were, was at the finaly of the show. What a waste.

I don't watch TV unless I'm forced to do so when I'm visiting my parents, they are still addicted to that form of information so I have to compromise.
I think the thread should be about getting rid of a T.V.
I lived in the dorms at the university that I attended and it was mostly male dominated hence there was lots of drinking and vandalism (oh what stories I will share with you all when the opportunity presents itself in another fourm, .... "the college years" ).
Anywho- there was a group of guys that liked to throw things out of windows and of course I shared the 12 story dorm with them. Firecracker strings, beer bottles, etc... regularly grew wings. I was shocked to see a TV set fly out of a window one day and almost hit some woman.
The University later decided to integrate women into the male dominated areas (I think to supress the vandalism). Anyway things tapered off.
So my point is if you need ideas to get rid of your T.V. set let a male college student in a dorm or frat house handle it. They have terrible minds that should not go to waste.

I don't make a point of watching "Dirty Jobs", but when I happen upon that show I just HAVE to watch it! That guy is so hot! 
I don't care what shows get dumped except do NOT get rid of House, American Idol or Scrubs! Those shows I DO make time for.

I am getting tired of the Geico commercials....they were cute to begin with, but now they just stink.
I like Lifetime-I don't see every woman smoking! But I watch Reba, Still Standing and Golden Girls.

Don't get rid of American Idol but put the Yoplait Yogurt commercial on the next space shuttle and jettison the darn thing toward the nearest black hole.
Depending upon the particular commercial you have two to four women talking and eating Yoplait.
"OOOh, it's FOOT MASSAGE good.
No, it's a WEEKEND WITH NO BOYS good."
And on and on. Gotta mute the TV or switch channels when that thing plays.
