Make sure you visit the Belagio! Thats my favorite place to stay...as long as I'm staying on somebody elses tab. Look for George Carlin to be somewhere..his shows are worth seeing if you need a good laugh. Also look for Tina Turner to be playing somewhere, definitely a great performer!

I used to go every year (some years even twice) until September '01.. Came back home from my last Vegas vacation 1 week before Sept 11 '01...
I like the Bellagio, but I don't think that it's worth the money... I'm not going to spend too much time in the hotel room anyway 
I love gambling.. I'll also make a quick 2 day trip to the Grand Canyon (last 2 days before my flight back)

I like the Bellagio, but I don't think that it's worth the money...
definitely not worth the money. I've stayed in nicer Motel 6's as far as the rooms go. I paid $7 for a cup of coffee there...thank goodness I was on the company credit card and that is where they booked me. They did the controls for the fountain in front and I got to tour the underground control room..pretty cool, like NASA.

I love Vegas....but I don't like to gamble, so I enjoy a nice hotel. Enjoy your trip, Corvette. :)

December before Christmas is a great time to go if you want to avoid crowds. There are great deals during that time as well. The only negative is that a lot of shows are dark during that time.

I've travelled to Vegas during the week before christmas already. Hotels are less than half the price than during the following week. I go to Vegas mostly to gamble, eat well and check out some surrounding areas.
Vegas is the most expensive way to get drinks for free

Personally, I prefer Reno. I practically lived at the Atlantis Hotel/Casino. I was working for a company there and that is where I always stayed.
Reno is not near as crazy as Vegas.
But, Have fun! and if you win big remember us back here at MD.

Don't forget to stop in the Rio for the best buffet in the city, and also a nice drive out into the Red Rock Canyon is great.

I've been at the Rio before but chose not to eat at their buffet.. If I recall correctly, it was mostly seafood and I don't eat any seafood...

The Rio hasn't had the best buffet since Harrah's took it over. It's buffet is now considered to be average.

Used to go to Vegas twice a year for trade shows with my company. All expenses paid and a party every night!!! Went to my first "gentlemans" club there with a client. I never did get to ride the rollercoaster at the NY NY.
I avoid buffet food like the plague! Who knows who's hands have been in that stuff. But there are some great restaurants!
Have fun!!!!!!!!

On the food subject...there was a small little casino/restaurant a couple of doors away from the Flamingo that had the best, to die for prime rib...but I can't remember the name of the place right now. I have to agree with everybody that Bellagio is really nice, but a tad overpriced for sure. Have fun...win lots and remember to share with all your buddies here...yeah right.

I'll post some pics (at least the links because picture posting isn't possible here) when I get back.. Still 2 weeks until I'll leave.. I've been in just about all Casinos there.. The Belaggio is probably the nicest indeed.. The Venetian is nice too!! I also LOVE that one italian Restaurant on the Inside...

Corvette...have fun on your trip!!! I've never been to Vegas...let alone even out west. I just get to see Las Vegas by watching CSI....LOL I'm sure they're really not in Vegas most of the time.
My dream vacation would start at the Grand Canyon....open sky country....Niagra Falls.......the Pyramids....well, maybe one day huh????
