Live with it -- exacerbating -- 24/7, head to toe, for 15 years and THEN let me know how much you appriciate your "friend"
'Scuse me...my attitude toward it is .
And I know I'm not the only one here who's been VERY tempted to give up on life -- literally, as in d-e-a-d -- because of p-a-i-n.
No, I do NOT like pain. I'd like to be HUMAN and functional again.
...and I can tell you that my patience is wearing pretty thin.

is it better to feel that pain from start, mid way or towards the end of your life?....those who have seen " the pursuit of happiness" would possibly get a hang of what I'm trying to say here.
A big cake gotten outta pain is delicious/rewarding. Endless pain is no good at all

Emotional pain attached to a specific situation can be a very valuable teacher, if we allow it to be.

Emotional pain attached to a specific situation can be a very valuable teacher, if we allow it to be. thats right fay...just as they say, experience is the best teacher, we learn from our mistakes. That kinda pain helps you be a better person, I guess. it is practical, well when it comes to rational humans, not airheads, hotheads etc who have this tendency of transfering aggression, hence leading to more pain.

Will, you can have all of my share of pain. Don't want it, don't need it. You might try emailing that Mikeoutthere dude, he was posting something about liking to be whipped, so I guess he's into pain too.

Touch, I'll tell you what, you've got that "touchness" in you, I mean you've got that sharp wit, quirky and off-beat sense of humor. I just luv the way you put your words together.
Thanks but no thanks, I'll pass on that whip thing and as....oh gosh, I can't even type right...I think I'm about to pass out from laughing my head off......see Touch, I've kinda absorbed some of your pain...I can't feel my ribs....PAIN..as a result of laughing

Depends on the pain. I have chronic pain that actually helped me become the healer that I am. It led me to healing and led me to health. I have found out how to WORK on and release pain. I love having trigger point therapy on painful muscles. That can be orgasmic. I NEVER let a man I am not intimate with massage me because of the endorphins that get me high when the muscle spasms are worked on. I usually work on myself if I have pain. So depends on the pain. The mental and emotional pain actually has forced me into making changes in my life I would not have otherwise. I get rather lazy and procrastinate so at times, pain is necessary. But like pain? No. Some of the benefits and side effects? Maybe. Depends on each situation.

I have to be blunt and honest, but just reading that almost makes me puke. Literally. I'd be 10 times more willing to plunge my hands and feet in boiling water to build up endorphines than to have anyone on earth poke my trigger points or do deep muscle massage

Sun, I could not stand deep muscle massage. It used to make me sick. It doesn't any more. I can work with people that have intense pain problems and decrease their pain. Remember, having had it, I was the perfect Guinea pig. I learned by having people work on me and knowing that that would not work on me at all. My sensitivity to the energy in the muscles is such that people that cannot be touched, I can work on. I work on and off the body. People that have come to me all drugged out in pain, get off the drugs. I am a healer. SpiritEnergy
