Sounds very nice fay, we got a a full 12 inches of new snow. The trees boughs are very heavy from the weight, but it really makes it look a lot like Christmas....
The trees are full, the sun is out, it is actually very beautiful, time to get the camera out.

It's 53* here. And the weather is forecasting a drop in temps, which means worrying about commuting on icy roads.  I don't remember the weather
ever being such an issue as a kid. When it was December it was expected to
be cold and snowy. And the same in January. Sort of makes me wonder if
Mother Nature is having a midlife crisis.

My poor plants! There go my damn tomatoes and I bet the broccoli does not do too well either. I covered them but you know, snow sticks to the sheets, it makes an ice blanket that still messes the plants up even worse. I seriously think it makes a thicker sheet of ice due to the dryness of the material.
*sigh*
Glad I cut those leaning trees down in the front yard. They may have fallen with this added stress of snow and water weight. It rained and blew hard last night.

Warm with wind. 74 degrees and 47% humidity. It is warmer outside as well. Might rain but unlikely.

Kansas continues her strange ways... Between 3:00 and 5:00 this morning, several hours before sunrise, the temperature rose 3 degrees to 58, and continued to rise for some time after that. I recall noticing it was 60 on my desktop weather button. But the wind has been blowing about 25-35 m.p.h., with gusts to 50. And since sunrise, the thermometer has reversed direction and it is not, at a little after 2 in the afternoon, 28 degrees (brrrrr!!!!!), still with 25+ m.p.h. winds, only out of the north, whereas they were out of the south the last two days.

Oh LP, get your canoe ready!
It was 71 deg. F. at 2pm with strong gusting southerly winds when I was on a plane home, now that I'm here, its 28 deg. F. and sleeting with gusting northerly winds. Welcome to Oklahoma. Bah.....

Near 80 today but another front coming in tonight or tomorrow and temps will drop a good 20 degrees. No wonder people spend all winter down here sick!

23 degrees here in OKC. Thank goodness there's no wet stuff falling.

it was nice here yesterday, near 40 degrees and melted much of the snow and ice., but very windy.
Today didn't start out too bad... but within the last 2 hours, freezing rain and ice building back yp .... I would rather hubby not drive on this stuff tonight .. the wind is so bad it;s shaking the windows....

Saturday a snow storm hit the Puget Sound (Seattle) region. I had about 2-3 inches of snow in my yard. This Sunday evening it has frozen and the streets have "black ice" condition which probably means that I will be leaving 1/2 hour earlier for work on Monday morning - if not for the rest of the week. This evening it's about 25F or -4C degrees.

65 degrees but going down. 76% humidity. Wetter now than earlier. Wind has died down for now. Lows in the upper 50s tonight. Pleasant.

Hey, we're COLD!! Lows in the high 40's, highs in the high 50's, humidity 35% and showers expected, pretty much all week...I'm wearing sweats and lovin' it!
