Wow... Never even woulda thought of Puff the Magic Dragon! Good choice!
Ummm... I'd have to say Daffy Duck and Buggs Bunny. I'm not 'that' old, but I used to watch them all the time. That and Tom and Jerry.
Hmmm... Heroes or just favorite cartoons??
Oh wait! Ranger Rick! There we go Darn magazine is still around! Talk about staying power!

Mighty Mouse when I was very young, and Rocky and Bullwinkle when I was a little older. Hank Hill in my old age. Yes, I still watch cartoons.

I watched Cartoons but they were never my heros... my heros were in the comics... Steven Strange (Dr. Strange), Anthony Stark (Iron Man), Adam Warlock (Adam Warlock), and Kal El (Superman). Fictional Characters from movies and TV that were my heros: Luke Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, and Barnabas Collins. I am sure there were more but these I remember very well....
:: Ahhh the Children of the Night.... what sweet music they make....

No cartoon heros here. I preferred Jack Lord from Hawaii 5-0.

I concur with WhiteThunder1969, Luke Skywalker is still my hero.
Also, I would add Snake Eyes and Duke from G.I. Joe and Optimus Prime from The Transformers.
They all are the epitomy of goodness and strength.

Definitely Bugs Bunny, although I was addicted to the early anime stuff like G-Force (Battle of the Planets) and Star Blazers.

If I think of some cartoons that actually meant something to me as a kid, I think of...
Rainbow Brite. That chick could do awesome things with colours.
