My mom just IM'ed me and said my 93 year old granny Daisy just fell and broke her leg. Granny was on the phone with my Uncle John when she fell and my Aunt Jan called my mom from her cell phone to get my mom up there.. (they live side by side).. Granny is in surgery...

Sorry to hear that Daisy. I know how it is. My grandmother is 96 now and she is very frail and very cautious too because she does not want to get hurt. You know why. For people that old any injury is a big deal. I hope that the Lord heals your grandmother and that she will be ok.

Miss Daisy is fiesty.. mom said she wasn't in alot of pain.. her hip is ok, but the upper thigh bone is broken.. they did a spinal anesthesia for the surgery because she has a leaky valve in her heart and didn't want to put her under. She kept telling mom she would be coming back to her home when this was over and to not let my aunt and uncle (who shall remain un-named here) bulldoze her house or sell it.. which is what they are itching to do..
looks like losing my job was a blessing in disguise.. I will be going back into the nursing field whether I am prepared for it or not...

All my grand parents passed away before I was 10--(3 of them before I was 5) So you can have all my prayers I was too young to use........

ohhh thank you blueyes..  that is so sweet..
as for anyone pushing Miss Daisy around.. she let my aunt and uncle do it for years... the ugly stunt they pulled at Christmas bordered on elder abuse... but it didn't work.. Granny refused to budge from her home. and if I can help it, she ain't gonna be ousted from the home that she has had for close to 60 years now..
my Aunt and Uncle have yet to see just how ugly Daisy Junior can get when I have to... they DON'T wanna piss me off...

My prayers and thoughts are being sent to Daisy and daisy315...family illnesses are very difficult to deal with but at least she has a wonderful granddaughter to take care of her!

Oh my, Daisy Jr. has her dander up. I am glad to see that too.
Bless you Daisy and your Grandma too. Prayers and please give her a hug from me and Haban ok?
