I have a bolt action 22 and a 20 gauge shot gun. I can go to the "range" anytime I feel like it. I have 10 acres of woods about 80 miles south of here.
What about you Touch, what kind a gun are you packin'

I have several, a Winchester model 1200 in 12ga, a SKS rifle, a .380 auto, a .357 revolver, and a Ruger 10/22.
And of course I just go out on BLM to shoot.

first time i saw a hand gun.. 4 yrs ago,
in missouri..scary, it had a bullet in it too..

I'm with the two of you ^^^^^ - if ya can't fill the gun with water and squirt someone with it, I won't have anything to do with it.
Almost cancelled a vacation several years ago. My ex-father-in-law had an antique gun he was donating to a museum in Colorado. We were going to be close to the town the museum was located in, and he wanted us to deliver it for him. I told him if the gun is in the car - even in the trunk - then my kids and I would not be in that car.....put an end to that discussion real quick! And I really would have cancelled the vacation at the last minute if the ex-wife would have insisted upon delivering the thing.

Because I am traveling on the road a lot between FL and NC, and my 2 greyhounds that travel with me are so docile, I always take my .380 along for the ride too.

S&W 9mm is the only one I have now although I owned many over the years but gave them all to my son except this one. Will never give it up as long as I can take a breath. I try to get to the range at least once a month and have access to the local police range so it is always available.

i had a 30-06, 12 gauge, 22, 4-10, black powder.and 30-30, i don;t use them anymore, no time for hunting so gave them to my son

I happen to be a gun owner, but only for target practice. I developed a love for shooting in the military, and I find it to be stress relieving when I plink a target. I live out in the middle of nowhere, with my closest neighbor being nearly a mile away, so I can shoot to my hearts content in my back yard.
If I had children in my house I would get rid of the guns....
I couldn't imagine ever shooting a poor animal... My idea of hunting is searching the grocery for a nice cut of meat.

What do you think that shrink-wrapped package containing a "nice cut" once was? It suffered a hell of a lot more than any animal ever shot by an honest and moral hunter for sustenance.
But on topic...I'd prefer to surprise anyone who thought they really needed to know.
