As for solo singers, I would have to say Elton John. He is the ONLY singer who has remained consistently excellent throughout his entire career! I consider his song The One to be one of the GREATEST songs EVER! I LOVE THAT SONG!!!

Elton John I agree with ya "stormy" about Elton...He is a awesome person...Been to 4 of his concerts when I was younger

Hey Daniel...
I have a vocal version that she did of the theme from Powder, which was composed by my favorite composer(Jerry Goldsmith). Towards the end of that piece. when the choir starts singing, I totally lose it!  Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

Got to many favorites to list. But it really depends on my mood. I listen to all types of music. But I guess I would have to say that R&B and Modern Jazz are my favorites. Marvin Gaye , Richard Elliot , David Sandborn , Corinne Bailey Rae , Candy Dolpher... stuff like that.
