How would you want to be remembered by others when you are gone ? What would you leave behind that others will remember you by ?...or maybe you just don’t care, since we live and die and turn to dust anyway so who cares…right ???

Once long ago, I was delivering furniture and when all was carried inside and assembled in the apartment my partner said “ well you are ready now to entertain “ and she replayed “ believe me, I don’t have that much company “ The year was 1986 and she was in her late 30’ s. and thinking of her now and then, I do hope that she found someone special in her life to entertain. We all remember someone because of the impression that she or he left on us, and for the same reason we are remembered by others
Forget me not she did not say…but I will always remember her.

Well, I'll be damned...
I saw the title of the thread and thought Pussie was leaving us. So I happily clicked to wish him well and send him his merry way, when... Talk about misleading.

I hadn't really thought about it... maybe Remembered fondly for a week, then completely Forgotten...
I've put some thought into my Death though... I thought decapitation... Followed by a Dixieland Wake... and A Viking Funeral...
I know... I'm a little odd, But I'm ok with that...

Just posted the lyrics to this song on another thread topic about dying. I think this song also speaks beautifully to "Forget me not"......
Now Comes The Night ------Rob Thomas
And when the hour is upon us And our beauty surely gone No you will not be forgotten And you will not be alone No you will not be alone
And when the day has all but ended And our echo starts to fade No you will not be alone then And you will not be afraid No you will not be afraid
And when the fog has finally lifted From my cold and tired brow No I will not leave you crying No I will not let you down No I will not let you down I will not let you down
Now comes the night Feel it fading away And the soul underneath Is it all that remains So just slide over here Leave your fear in the fray Let us hold to each other Until the end of our days
And when the hour is upon us And our beauty surely gone No you will not be forgotten And you will not be alone No you will not be alone

This verse is written on mans grave by a woman who knew him for a very short time during a war, she never married or dated again in her life…died at age 74.
“ I loved you more than I can say Loved you with my heart and soul I only wish that I had more time …to be with you in this life “
He was my uncle.
