What is the deal with the friends requests from guys who've never sent an e-mail before or posted in the forums? Why do they send a friend request to someone they've never "spoken" with before? It's weird.

i get those too- i just let them rack up points on their little board- sorta like notches in the headboard (without the other !!!!  )

the worst is when you turn them down and they keep on requesting you after that like 26 times, as if they haven't gotten the hint.

Maybe it's a first light step to get in touch with a woman without deep dialogues.... a flash of presence....just to say " I am here, I see your profile should you wish we can chat ....bla bla bla"
At the beginning I received friends requests from unknown men.
Men with whom I have never talked.....and I always declined their requests because for me they haven't any meaning
With time I began to read forums and take parts of them knowing new nice people.
At that point I decided to approve or send friends requests.
The few friends I have, they have a meaning for me ( you are included  ) they have affinity with me or with my point of view....but I needed time to know and find out them....

I have a large number of people on my friends list on here, All are people I have chatted with, or made aquaintance with on the forums... I've been on this place almost nonstop since 00'...
its been decades since I was around anyone from the real world....
