When I worked at the phone company (AT&T), anyone caught dating another employee was subject to discipline... Up to termination...
I now see that in the news Walmart has a similar policy....
The railroads now have a policy that employees in the away from home terminals are no longer allowed to drink on their own time,
Our personal time is no longer our time....
Any other examples?

How about the companies that will fire you for smoking on your own time, and in your own home ? Quit smoking, or lose your job. Sounds a lot like slave labor. They don't employ you, They own you, and dictate to you.

I brought rotton milk to work once and opened it up at the fresh air intake that serviced 3 office floors. It seems that I was the only person left at my computer terminal doing my work when the boss was watching everyone leave the floor. He went back into his office. Someone commented that it smelled like his uncle's ranchid colon cancer.

The first job I ever had, was working in a grocery store I was not allowed to grow a beard. I have also seen where they make guys wear a band aide on their ear to cover their pierced ear. I would greatly appreciate if more company's asked their employees to remove the rings and studs from their employees faces. Cause I don't want to look at them. (Well, most of them )

Company Policies that intrude on your life.... And you would like... what alternative? To be allowed to do what you want? In that case you should quit your job. Most policies are there for a reason.
The railroads now have a policy that employees in the away from home terminals are no longer allowed to drink on their own time,
Our personal time is no longer our time.... You're not serious, are you? Sure, I'd REALLY like to have a guy with a hangover the size of Manhattan drive the train I'm in... I'd feel real safe.

The problem isn't the guy with the hangover - I'm near LA and the freeways are jamb-packed with drivers who are drunk or have hangovers so this danger is a constant problem. Test the guy - and if he gets caught driving with less than his full mental capacity, go through the 50 miles of red tape to fire his ass. The guy who doesn't drive with a hangover shouldn't be required to abide by this restriction.
Personally, I think the new sexual harassment laws are inpinging on my right to pat my secretary on the ass when she's done a good job. It's not a sexual thing - athletes do it all the time. Women shouldn't have to feel left out.

Heck yeah.. That's just an employee motivation and appreciation thing.
I can't imagine anyone taking offense at that! Motivating those you work with is very commendable if you ask me.

We have so many people who are married to each other that it might be reasonable. If they're dating, they're cheating. The only rule still in place is that you can't be in the direct reporting line of a significant other - i.e. you can't be in a relationship with your boss (but boy do I know a bunch of cases that went over the line on that one! )
Hey Pete, can I come work for you? We only do hugs here...
MM - yep, you got it! Motivation at its finest...

MM - yep, you got it! Motivation at its finest... Of course it really should qualify as one, or more, "pats".
Grabbing and squeezing, or rubbing and the like, may not necessarily qualify as "motivational".. It just depends... That's where the rules can get complicated.

Let me clarify... they can drink at home... and as long as they are below legal limits work is fine... but "the away terminal", (where we stayed for 24-72 hours waiting for returning trains), you are not allowed a glass of wine, or a beer with dinner, but any alcohol consumption at the away terminal is a firing offense!
the airlines have a policy of no alcohol for 24 hours before flying... I can accept and understand that... but to be so inconsistant is just silly

The policies are there to protect the company from litigation.

The away terminal, is still a part of the rail system. Let me put it this way. You are at the away terminal and you see several rail employees having dinner and notice that there is alcohol on their table. Six hours later, a train derails and your child is killed in the accident. Are you going to sue?
While you may say no, most people will. It won't be necessary to prove that the rail workers were drinking, only that the rail system tolerates the use of alcohol by employees while on company grounds. When that little gem is introduced into evidence in court, the rails are going to lose their collective a$$e$.
Don't blame the rails, blame the judicial system. Corporate policy is no longer based on what is reasonable, but on what will give them the most protection, when (not if) they are sued.

We have a whole book of prohibitions, including not dating subordinates. But by far the worst is not being able to fire up a fattie at work.
