For your BP, walk, swim, cut out fats. In your line of work, knee repleacement is very common...I for one appreciate what you do.. a good woman won't care that you had to have the surgery. Trust me.

In your line of work, knee repleacement is very common. had 5 operations before my carrer started ..then they had to pay for the next 3
but all in all yes i love my job and it may be the reason i put off the surgery as long as possible . but the body can olny handle so much vicodin and ibuprofin and ice packs before it says enough ....
again thank lor..i don't do it for the money thats for damn sure ...10 years ago i found what i belive is my calling

irish.. se if your doc will get you some lidocaine pain patches for your knees... they work wonders for mine and you don't have the side effects of an oral pain med.

Try the natural approach first
Number One with a bullet: Garlic: (Allium sativum) Besides increasing the flow of blood to the cappilaries, that reduces blood pressure, it helps to lower lipids in the blood (thus lowering cholestral and triglyceride levels.)
Hawthorne (Crataegus oxyacantha) This is a favorite herb for protecting the whole vascular system. This herb increases the heart's tolerance for oxygen deficiency.
Of course diet, weight loss and proper excersise are keys to maintaining a healthy body.
Eat nothing but veggies for a few weeks, if you need meat then go with fish.
Also a little yoga will help.
Oh, also helps if you go for a nice quiet walk about an hour after dinner, relax, forget about everything and just enjoy your walk.

I was once told I had high blood pressure. Started eating a LOT of watermelon, and it went back to normal. Granted, in my case it was just due to lunatic renters in the neighborhood, so it might not work the same for you, but would be my best suggestion. Well, that and try to maintain your sense of humor I guess LOL

Blood Pressure 1. Eliminate as much extra salt in your diet (you will not be able to eliminate all so try as much as not to eat any extra).
2. Stay away from fried foods, extra oils and fats.
3. Get some exercise. (Not for loosing weight but to increase your cardiovascular system).
4. If your Doctor prescribes medication, take them.
5. Stop using Viagra (LMAO)
6. As an alchemist, I suggest you look into Mono Atomic Gold (White Gold Powder) (BTW if you research it online avoid the stupid pesudo-religious insanity that some zealots who need psychiatric help; the same ones that believe George Bush is a reptilian from outer space).
7. Stop worrying, millions of people live each day with high blood pressure, keep it in check and enjoy life. Happiness benifits the body in many ways.
As for your knee.... I can't help. lol

Do yourself a favor, try acupunture. I have a replacement elbow -- necessitated by a fall that shattered by lower arm. I am no longer on any pain medication. That is not to say that I feel perfect all of the time, I chose when to take an Advil. When it first happened and I had the surgery, I was on a combination of oxycontin and percocet just to get me through physical therapy. Then they switched me to vicodin. I returned to acupunture and flushed the vicodin down the toilet. The acupuncture was a life-saver. Do some research and find a legitimate practitioner in your area.
BTW, it will also work on your blood pressure.

I'm right there with the ones saying EXERCISE! I'd think water aerobics with music might help you in a lot of ways...for me, I'll check my BP after a nice 'relaxing' day at the office and get a higher reading than yours (I've topped out at 200/90)...then I'll go dancing and check afterwards (last time the reading was 117/77)..
Find something you enjoy doing that gets your blood circulating (hmm...seems to me a lot of us are looking for that... sorry, couldn't resist)...as Mr. Miyagi said, don't forget to breathe!
