This is lame. Apparently, this site has decided to emulate OKCupid and thus garner the same success they have due to their tests.
Why doesn't this site do what it simply does best and provide a safe area for communications, chiefly the forums?
OKCupid doesn't have forums. People go there for the tests and here to read the forums.
Copying your competition in such an obvious way is just, well, lame.

Well now they only have to go to ONE place for both.
Don't most companies compete for clients???

Yes...all is fair in competition. It's easy to forget that MD is actually a business as well as any other singles site one participates in. We've done quizzes here for quite some time. What's the big deal if they give quizzes their own subheading?

I agree with the general sentiments of the answering posters, but MatchDoctor should do something original, rather than blatantly copying another site.
The staff here is good and creative, so they should be able to come up with something better than copying the ideas of another successful site.

Well, we have been doing surveys, quizzes and games for as long as i can remember-ones made up by members. And copied from other websites. Putting it on the toolbar just makes it a little easier to find, if that's what you like.

This is lame. Apparently, this site has decided to emulate OKCupid and thus garner the same success they have due to their tests. Ever heard of coca cola and pepsi??? Also my question is this...if THIS site is so lame why are you on it and why not go back to OKCupid since THIS site is much more lame???

The staff here is good and creative, so they should be able to come up with something better than copying the ideas of another successful site. Well, I kinda' believe in the tenet that imitation is the purest form of flattery. That being said, I believe that it's a sign of good business practices to recognize a successful "thing", and implement it. That's provided, of course, that there isn't any infringement.
Also, if the entire world didn't recognize the benefit of seeing successful things (either real or perceived) and copying them, we'd all be driving Model T's, ironing our clothes with hot rocks, and we'd be using ice boxes to keep our leftover jambalaya cold.
Finally, I agree with Empath; I personally appreciate it when a business/concern/establishment provides me, the customer, with a feature that they feel would be helpful/beneficial/enjoyable. I personally don't care if it's copied or not. Been in a Walmart lately? Not saying that they're the most popular places in the world, but by far one of the most profitable. And those suckers sell groceries, shoes, televisions, tires, plants... you get the idea. It's copy, copy, copy... Not always a bad thing. But, that's just my half-ass opinion.

By the way, unless MatchDoctor came to be the day after Al Gore invented the internet... it, too, is a copy.
