A friend of mine from the Dade county police department passed this around several months ago. And from the list of email addresses I saw on there is has seen the circuit of police forces in the US.

Did it ever occur to you that all those shootings happen in schools for an obvious reason - the murderer knows that his victims are not allowed to carry guns due to their young age , so he feels pretty sure he won't be stopped the moment he starts ,i.e. there's plenty of time for him to have fun with his gun among those armed with pens before grown-ups armed with guns arrive. ..
And don't forget - those trying to pass gun-control laws don't put themselves or their families at risk by doing this - they will be guarded by armed professionals paid with your tax money anyway. It's those who are not entitled to and cannot afford to hire licensed bodyguards are going to be in danger.

yes...
.....because in most cases..the shooter is deranged and wanting vengeance...
a gun is a tool...and nothing more..
but is it always the tool for the job?
or a tool of last resort? it's your call....

School shootings are clear example of what one ILLEGALLY ARMED person can do to any number of LEGALLY DISARMED ones...
Feeling "deranged and wanting vengeance" does not automatically make the person a murderer , it's knowing for sure that no one will be able to defend himself against his vengeance that unleashes those "feelings" into actions.

Bulldukie!!!! Most deranged kill themselves too. Deranged, as you should know, will take on an entire ARMED police force. Deranged people take "action" because they are deranged...............................

Deranged hardly means "stupid" , Luise...
They know exactly what they want to achieve - i.e. to kill as many people as possible BEFORE they kill themselves ( if suicide were their goal , they would have done it in private) . And schools make perfect setting for them to achieve their goal - exactly for the reason that they KNOW they are going to be THE ONLY ARMED PERSON there for some time before ARMED policemen arrive. Those "deranged " don't perform their "activities" in any other public place knowing that there might be other armed people there who will stop them on the spot , before they have an opportunity to make second shot.
