what will we do when we run out of space for landfills?

You think we'll ever launch garbage into space (toward the sun) when we run out of room for landfills in a few centuries? Or perhaps build garbage dumps on the lunar surface, or lunar landfills! We make so much waste, and the population keeps increasing at such a fast rate, that something drastic will have to be done with all the worlds crap.

the electric utility here has set up "Peak Generation plants" at some of the old landfills, running off of the methane from the fill, so who knows, maybe "Garbage Mining" will be a new career?

We'll use graveyards. I'm sure that one can fill trash inbetween the nooks and crannies on the sides of caskets and the pit walls (maybe even squeeze some on top or inside the casket).

one of those mistakes...  now they have to dig down to virgin soil and recompact everything with imported clean fill dirt
