Posted From My Blog
Yesterday, I went to Wal Mart and bought a toilet tank repair kid. It included the filler valve assembly, ball, metal arm and flapper.
After I installed it I realized that there was no adjustment for the arm/ball lever. that makes the valve shut the water off.
I called the manufacturers and they are sending me a new, top of the line repain kit for free.
I spoke to two customer service people and then, later I had an engineer call me to try to resolve the issue with the kit that I first had purchased. For Wal Mart to make about $1.50 profit, I used up about $60 of someones labor to satisfy me.
What this blog is about, Wally World sells junk; cheap junk...They don't try to sell quality....Now, I'm beginning to wonder how good they are for the American economy. AMERICANS DESERVE BETTER !!!
I'd like to hear from you about instances of poor quality and satisfaction that you received from where you bought it and/or the manufacturer..
It's about time the voices of the little people be heard.

Depends on what ya want, Quality or quanity.
Cheap because you don't have enough money to buy this item and get the loaf of bread, or get the more expensive one and not eat the bread.

I want to hear anecdotes about good/bad quality, where bought. If there were problems, how were they resolved.

I am very selective in what I buy. On rare occasion I will wind up with a piece of trash. Most of the time I get what I am looking for, something decent to good. So I can't recall ending up with an issue such as you describe recently. I do know that Wal Mart sells a lot of cheap things in most of their departments. That is why I only buy food and some clothing items there. I stay away from the rest of it and get that in a more appropriate place. The Rustler jeans for 9 bucks are really good for the money though.

My biggest problems with Wally World are the fact that they sell Chinese garbage and the fact that they use virtual and literal slave labor to make it. I will occasionally shop there but only when I can buy American made.

I will never EVER shop at Wal Mart, for anything. They're responsible for shutting down small business everywhere in this country. If I need hardware, HARDWARE STORE, feed stores...whatever...most towns have em, a lot have been forced to close doors because of mega-fks like Wal Mart....prices might be a tad higher but I'm not feeding that business hungry fkall. You want inferior crap, shop at Wal Mart. If you want to kill off entrepreneurship, shop at Wal Mart. If you want to support what in essence is slave labor, shop at Wal Mart. If you want to support what's been an American institution since the beginning of time, shop at a locally owned hardware store or any other locally owned business.
MTHRFKERS!!! (pant, pant)
Thank you...and goodnight.

There's a hardware store across the street owned by Arabs. I never shop there cuz I don't know what the hell they are funding with my money. I walk 5 blocks down the street to an American owned one...
My liberal friends say that's racism... I say it's my money and I'll fkn spend it anywhere I want.

i have complained about Gerry riggin, nigger riggin and lately ronald riggin since i can recall. the cool thing about wally world is that it is the replacement for sears. if you don't like it, Wally will replace it or give you your money back. there is an old saying in business from my side of the fence. you get what ya pay for. Ace will sell ya the same toilet kit for only a few dollars more. LOL

We currently do not have a Super Walmart in my city...I know crazy huh! And I can not stand going to the regular walmarts here because they are very crowded and annoying. I used to buy many of my food items except for meat and produce at super walmart and my house hold items such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies ect. I often would hit the clearance racks and road up on tshirts ect for my son. After that...I would go else where. Now I go to target for pretty much everything, except my food. I find their stuff to be a little better quality, have not had any problems with their stuff, and still decent prices. You could go to home depot or menards and end up with the same problem with your repair kit. One of my main issues with deciding to kind of boycot walmart is because for all the money the make...they treat their employees like shit and it reflects through customer service ect.

Apparently I'm in the minority here. I love Wal-Mart and have had few problems with anything I've bought there. If there is something wrong, it's never been a problem to replace or get a refund. But then again I also love the Dollar Tree!!

haha i love dollar stores too!! Expecially for like secret santa things ect, cookie cutters wrapping paper and GIFT BAGS are so much cheaper a lot of those stores. I will give Sams Club credit. I bought a HP notebook from there and because I was stealing wireless internet someone kept crashing my hard drive. I got my computer replaced three times and got absolutely no grief from them. Also the extended warrenty i got through them was 1/3 of what best buy was asking for one year more than best buys warrenty program. Can not beat that. I have often found that as far as clothes go...walmart really is not all that cheap.

Well, you get what you pay for. You go to Wal-Mart, you get junk. Some of it is made over seas, some of it is made here.
