I dated a girl that had depression and was on medication for it unknown to me. She was mad cool thanks to meds. Well she stopped taking it and turned into the evil one.
Now she tells me I am bi polar and I have the depression but when she is at her lowests then she tells me she needs help. I try to help her but then she bounce back into blaming me for everything.
Am I wrong for not talking to her anymore? Oh did I mention she is pregnant too well she is due this month on the 27th.
NOT sure if it is mine...LOL I went to the docotr with her when she was about 3 months and her doctor gave her zoloft 50mg for the depression. She did not take it because she thinks she is much better...LOL
So ladies and doctors...LOL is her depression worst now. Also she talks to alot of guys which is not nothing I am worried about she stays with one even better but should I help her if she ask for it or turn my back for the first time?
She is not the first girl I have ever dated that has had depression!!!

I have found that most women have it because they want to have it.......they dwell on nonsensical issues beyond their control, they are oft times illogical and emotional, and creating crisis after crisis seems to be a form of self-validation for many.....also known as the drama queen disorder.

Depends on how strong emotionally you are....it could be kinda bad or really, really bad! to have someone like that in your life. i would suggest going to a very good pre marital counselor and take their advice.....and to find out why you "chose" vulnerable, unstable women.......sounds like she and her child will have a difficult time of it.........but, you never know what the future will bring,,,maybe some good for her.....

Latino...Although this is a date site, seems you need to go to medical advise from a physician. Your g/f is in 3rd trimester so she was given by her doctor the Zoloft. She needs to have tests done after baby is born to have diagnosis on any brain inbalance and what the physician feels she needs for treatment.
As for not knowing if the child is yours, there is a test that you and the baby can have called "Buckle Swap" to determin the DNA. Its a very quick procedure and no blood is ever drawn. Just call medical clinics in your area for that information.
Best of luck to you on your endeavers with your family...Angel

Women seem to handle depression better than men. Stats show at least women try to get help, support, and find positive methods to cope.
Men just commit suicide.

that is very true they do kill themselves but women well my soon to be ex wife likes to blame me for everything negative in her life.....
Her ex hubby cheated on her so if I work late I am messing around. It got to the point we have been broken up for over 6 months and she still spys on me, but tells me if I call her or write to her she will place an injunction on me....
Maybe she is not depressed but crazy?

Have you spoken with HER doctor??? He may not be able to give you the details of the condition as it pertains to her.. (dayum doctor/patient confidentiality)... but he/she can give you some information about bi-polar...
And good lawd... If someone tells me that post-partum depression is "all in my mind"... I will have to go freakin bi-polar!!!!
Granted.. women get off of severe crimes claiming they were under the influence of Pre-Menstral Sydrome... and other sorts of things... but the women who are actually having a hard time dealing with things in reality, do need some help.. whether it be counseling or medication... which there is one that has absolutely no side affects...
Get some info... read up on it.. search the net for it.. but don't just dismiss her as being crazy... especially after that baby is born...

She very well could be crazy, or not, or maybe the pregnancy is making her hormones even more outta control and stuff like that.
Alot of men have a hard time dealing with women who have depression. I disagree lj450 when you said "most women have it because they want to have it" I do not believe that is true. What about when children are diagnoised depressed are you saying they choose that?
I have depression and did not want it, although I have had it since I was a child, in my oppion I dont think everyone needs medication to control it though. I am on herbal vitamins and feel I am doing great just a bit emotional and going through boxes of tissues sometimes lol.

Mel to be honest I went with her once to the doctor appointment and then the next time she told me she did not want me to go. She was going to change the appointment and I just gave up. It has been about over two months since I have even IMed her to see how she is doing because usually she is what do you want and to leave her alone. Granted I am hoping she found some other victim to drive looney!!! When she talks to people GUYS mostly she makes herself like she has it worst. GUYS all my friends call her the Black Widow because she is beautiful and you will fall for her BS and then make you crazy...LMAO to the point of wanting to kill yourself...LOL
OH talking about Victims she is always making herself sound like she is the victim. Look I have had some serious bad stuff happen to me I think we all have at one time or another but you know what MOST of us do not live in the pass we live in the present and work hard for the future.
So as for the doctor and where she is having the baby and stuff like that I do not know and she will not tell me!
OK now for ASH at least you are doing something about it and you can honestly and openly admit to it..... BUt when she is down on the ground and just at her worst she will talk to me and tell me she needs help. I give her my shoulder and help her.
Another big thing is with her is that I am not fighting to get her back or begging or whatever it is called. I also do not take the blame for crap I did not do anymore. So that makes her even more mad!
Oh well life goes on and thank you all for the good advice....keep them coming....

You are so right! People need to be educated on mental health, so they can better understand it. Anybody can be hit with it at anytime, no matter who your are, it is a chemical imbalance nobody asks to get it.

These replies are correct but not all women get help. Do not get me wrong I do not think I am not stressing and I do read on depression and everything else, to better understand the illness. However, I do not try to let myself get down and ALWAYS make it to have or see the light beyond the tunnel!!!
Unfortunately I can not do that with her. If I try to help when she does not want it she tells me I am harassing her! Or she will call the cops on me because I am mentally abusing her. Granted if asking her if she needs a friends I am here she says mental abuse damn I am guilty!!! Or how is your day how are you and the baby doing..
Oh I tried the Baker Law which you can call the cops when they act crazy and that backed fired......LOL So the law did not help. Evev when I had a letter stating she wanted to kill herself!!!
So my lawyers just want me to wait and then nail her to a cross which I do not want to do she is human even though she does not act like that towards me!!!!
Ok well anymore help I would appreciate it .......
Thank you all for your replies!!!

If she has even written a letter saying that she wants to kill herself etc, I am with the attorney. IF the kid turns out to be yours, you should also go for full custody. If she is that big of a nut job, the kid would be better off being raised by someone sane and stable. As far as not being "mean" enough to "nail her to a cross", who deserves the concern? Her or the baby?

Damn The Brat do you work for the Attorney or are you an Attorney...LOL
I understand what you mean and I truly to plan to seek full custody. She has three kids that are being raised by their fathers and not her so I should not have to much difficulty getting the baby.
Well I hope not to much...LOL In Florida they still believe a child should be raised by the mother. But since she does not raise her three and is very unstable I should have a great chance of getting the baby......
Once again The Brat and everyone else that has written in thank you for your comments and advice......
