What I like most about this site.....

I am writing this in reference to the last trolled thread "Whats with all the attacks on MD...."
Ya know what I like most about this site?
Its the way a troll either starts a thread, or maybe hi-jacks one after its been established and people have voiced their opinions on some topic, then the S*** talking begins. When all is said and done, the troll is either thrown off the site or cancels on their own (only to be reborn at a later date and time) and all the "old timers" or "regulars" stay on the site and kind of band together to re-establish the bonds that were almost infiltrated.
Its like a bond of friendships creating a safe little fortress in which all can gather and chat or have fun. Then, once a troll has infiltrated this haven under the guise of a new member, they begin tearing at the walls by starting nit picking fights with the regulars or trying to pit them against one another.
Finally, the troll disappears and everyone stays on the thread that was the site of the last "battle", and talks about everything that had just transpired. Its as if you were patching any little holes and repairing any damage that the troll(s) may have done during their short, but tumultuous stay here on MD.
Its almost like family, ya know?
OH! And I have to say, Becky, DAMN GIRL YOU MISSED YOUR CALLING!! You are a regular Nancy Drew - picking up on the capitalization of the pronouns! I am impressed. I bet you are great at the game CLUE. LOL

I come here for the fun, I love to laugh, every once in a while, I get serious, and post my feelings on a serious subject, and then go back and crack a joke not being so serious, the combination of seriousness and joking around, releases some stress, and passes the time. Getting to know so many of you, how you think, how dirty your mind is..... and putting some of your personal experiences and why you have a certain opinion, makes me come back for more. Now with that being said, a troll does screw with that flow, I chose to ignore him, many do not, so when he/she is finally gone, it may be more like normal, but rarely is it ever the exact same way. So I simply point them out, and let them starve. I do realize, many enjoy the hunt, and the kill, I simply enjoy reading the obituary.( knowing they are gone )
I just do not understand how they think, does anyone really enjoy pissing in someones cornflakes, and watching them eat it? Are these the same folks who create viruses? What is there purpose? What do they get out of it? Do they hate me yet?, wait until they read this..................What a f*cking waste of time !!!!!!!!!!! And energy.
To those who enter this site, to make enemies, to piss folks off, to be rude and obnoxious....To cram their crap down our throats...........All I can say, is you better think twice, you will not win...........Resistance is futile........

I came to this site first to meet a guy. Ok I met him, so now I come in here to the forums to make friends and see what people are thinking about. There are a lot of really nice people in here. I try to ignore those who are not.

Well, I haven't really been here long enough to discover what I like about this site yet in relation to the forums anyway. Unfortunately, I have discovered what I don't like though...............being ignored. I posted in a few other threads tonight and that is just what happened. One of those posts was asking questions too, one that was suggested that be asked as well. I don't know whether it's because of the recent surge of troll attacks and perhaps some are wondering about me. I do not think I have presented myself so far as anything close to troll like though. I did receive a warm welcome by many on my first day. A definite chill is in the air though. Do most around here hang back and take a wait and see stance?

artcat7 I think it's because you are new to the forums and people don't know you yet. It happens with alot of people I think. It's just the way things go around here. Don't worry about it.  I was ignored for a while too!

Folks are feeling you out, so to speak, it is like anything else, you are new until you are not........no set time, just folks recognize you and your thoughts. Not sure what else to tell you, but some threads are different too, things have changed around here a lot. I can come home and find new posts on 20 different threads ( that I watch ) lately everyone only posts in a handful....( but 6-7 pages )...Just keep posting, and soon enough you will be giving this answer to others.......
I swear more than half the time I post, I think I have killed the thread ( meaning no one posts after me ) I try not to take it personally, just some don't feel like posting in there for now....Just the way it is.

Their different perspectives, Their life experiences, Their opinions, Their pleathora of knowlege because of the various occupations, Everything that these people bring to this large table. I have feast on the nuturing of those who have contributed so much to me and all. What I like about this site? Is that I am able to say Thank You to all of you right now.
