Naw, they own me...
Cats:
Fuzzy Brother -15 years old Charlie Chaplin - 15 years old (they're brothers) My roommate's pets (who also own me) AJ - 1 year old Minau - 8 years old
Dog:
Kiddy - 11 years old
How do they make me feel? Well, right now the two pairs of cats (all male) are running a turf war, with a whole lot of spraying going on. I ended up having to rewash all my laundry last weekend, it was a casualty of the war. Actually, I barely even got upset, it's a small price to pay for the laughs and love they provide...the dog just stays back and lets the cats act like children.

I have a black labrador named: "CHEYENNE"
Why does she make me feel great?.......
Because no matter what: When I come home from a long day at work, she never fails to be faithfully waiting for me, greets me smiling ear to ear, banging & wagging her tail, shaking with happy dog energy all over and wanting to give me a big wet kiss as I walk in the door....
WHY AREN''T MEN LIKE THAT? SMILE.... ;-}

I am thinking about a pet. Dog. Maybe he/she will keep me off the net. A puppy sounds good...
I am thinking a Rottie, or German Shep...any suggestions?

Depends on the size of your place, Sadian.
If it is small, it is better not to get a large dog. Too crowded for the both of you.
I have a mini doxie (Chippy). A rat terrier (Crackers) and a Boston terrier (Ticky).
They are always happy to see me and I know they love me very much.

Yes Sadian good thread.... I have an Otter Hound/poddle mix.
She is always happy, wanting to play, and I just love her.......
Because no matter what: When I come home from a long day at work, she never fails to be faithfully waiting for me, greets me smiling ear to ear, banging & wagging her tail, shaking with happy dog energy all over and wanting to give me a big wet kiss as I walk in the door.... Now why can't women be like that?

Sadian, Leon is the first Lab I have had, and I am VERY impressed! Such a smart dog! Show him a couple or three times what you expect, and he's got it! He has however, eaten most of the lattice off of my deck, I had to rebuild the steps to the deck and he's eaten some of the siding on the house. I'm told part of that is because Labs are SO intelligent, they get bored easily. But...he takes good care of his toys. He still has the first tennis ball I gave him. My last dog, Roscoe, was a Shepherd/Malimut mix. He ate tennis balls like Chicklets.

very subtle, but i got it
(and this is a case where that 'rule' doesn't apply since he's not the only subject of this thread, but it's more effective this way keep chuckling.)

Two dogs, Homer and Lonny. Homer is the brat. He makes me pissed a lot but he loves me so much and makes me feel secure (GREAT watch dog) and makes me laugh a lot. That boy has been a BIG teacher of patience. Lonny makes me feel like I am the MOST wonderful thing in the world. He dances to see me and sings to me when I get home. He is very shy. Two geckos, Cocoa and Nameless. Cocoa makes me feel helpless because I think she may be dying. She has not been the same since her friend got out and died of thirst and starvation. I found his body a month later. Nameless is still unloved due to the anxiety level I have with Cocoa. By the time I deal with Cocoa, I am not in a good frame of mind. I am going to return Cocoa to the lady I got her from. Maybe she will thrive with her.

Sadian- my dog is female, 50 pounds, males are typically 70. Loving, great with kids, a cool weather dog, but tolerate heat if you acclimate them. For awhile-like any of us She's gentle, but I could have trained her to be more protective of the house. Nobody screws with the kids, though...

yes i do, i have a farm cat...she is my baby. growing up I was a sucker for stray animals as we lived in the country and people would drop their pets off along the road. I was 17 and a bad storm was coming and this FAT cat was running around but had to place to go hide. She came running to me, I took her in the house. 4 hours later she had a litter of kittens in the middle of the kitchen! My mother was not pleased and after a few days we put mama and babies in a clothes basket and took them to my grandfathers hay barn. When they got old enough I snatched one...which is the one I have today.
She is the most awesome shrink ever! I talk to her and she doesnt say anything, she just listens. Our personalities are SOOO much alike. She can be a complete sweetheart and in the same breathe if you piss her off she turns into a little bitch! I would be lost without her. I am a firm believer in pet therapy...its amazing how something such as a simple cat or dog can lift someones spirits.
