I agree. He once gave me advice on cutting my hair. He said I shouldn't, and I haven't yet... hmmmm, maybe I need to check out his profile again to see if there is some kind of subliminal message in there about the cutting of one's hair...

BlueMoon...I was told by a Native that to cut a woman's hair, it takes away their sexuality. So I only trim mine now!

...If you don't view the profile, how can you read their blogs? Sometimes, while reading a thread, their profile will give you some indication of where they are coming from... especially nationality, religious preferences, family/kids, etc. For newbies or otherwise, some people appear to be "hooked up" and maybe their profiles will say so. Some profiles have beautiful photos, or backgrounds of nature settings, animals etc.
...There are lots of reasons to view a profile and sometimes just out of curiosity. I think I have looked at Robo's in the past, because he appeared to be military. And besides, he always posts better photos of Pal...

Its an unfortunate thing when a user feels compelled to block another user. ...In order to block someone, they have had to sent you an email; or at least that is the only way I know how.
onoudn
Typically people are blocked for engaging in behavior that the person that blocks them finds offensive or abusive. What I find interesting is how often people, who object to being blocked, engage in the type of behavior that resulted in their being blocked. ...Exactly! ... when not so long ago, you were a "newbie" and after several emails from you, that I never responded to, why I blocked you from sending any more email to my account. Keep it on the boards. Hell O, you were the cherry as the first I ever blocked...
And here you are posting about it... ironic in a way.
...In response to your quote above in general:
...If someone has blocked you, get a clue in that they don't want any personal or private contact with you and that is absolutely their choice; not yours. Nobody has any specific rights to trespass where they are not wanted.
...It is sort of like someone knocking on your door at home and they insist that you have to answer or let them in and listen to what they have to say... you were blocked; get over it.

Who is Dave?
SG I don't know how or why you are getting away with jumping from thread to thread being disruptive. I just read your disrputive comments on one of Sadians thread. Before that you were one of mine ( where people were complaining that you were annoying them). On another thread I saw that you were having a dispute with another user---separate and unrelated to any of the aforementioned comments; and now I see that you are here. You don't seem to be contributing to the topic at all in any of these threads. You just seem to be making comments that don't make any sense. Perhaps, as has been indicated of the user "Dave", you are just being witty.

I love SG's posts. It shows that he has been reading and contemplating before he answers and he covers the bases.

Robo is pretty much computerless until next week, unless he goes to an internet cafe. And uhhhhh...since he is in Canada and I'm here in Cali, I guess I will just have to keep cutting/plucking that pecky hair! And no, it's NOT curly!
See Sadian...I didn't kill you!

O ... FORTUNATELY ..others can see the difference between a discussion and disruptive behavior... a discussion CAN entail posts for two OPPOSING sides of the same coin...

O ... FORTUNATELY ..others can see the difference between a discussion and disruptive behavior... a discussion CAN entail posts for two OPPOSING sides of the same coin Point taken becky For the record, as far as I remember. He is bringing up events that happened in the "Hunting" thread related to his choice to block me. These comments were made on or around July 25 of this year.
First of all, I can't tell if he is in agreement or not with the comments he is quoting now. His comments seem to reaffirm the point I was trying to make. That point specifically was that people are blocked because a user finds their comments offensive. He seems to be supporting my position. But his tone indicates his doesn't agree. For instance he states this:
In response to your quote above in general:
...If someone has blocked you, get a clue in that they don't want any personal or private contact with you and that is absolutely their choice; not yours. Nobody has any specific rights to trespass where they are not wanted Where I think he is being disruptive is in the fact that my comments were actually in response to another user who had complained about being blocked themselves. As it has been in this thread, and the others I've mentioned, it seems clear that he has not bothered to read the thread in order to understand the context in which my comments were offered. Discussion have a natural flow to them. [ edit add ] If a person comes while the discussion is in progress and quotes another person out of context of that flow it disrupts the discussion. Esspecially when it seems apparent that there is deliberation, and seeming intent to exact some sort of revenge, on the part of the disruptive commentator.
edited to add
Thus the natural flow of the discussion is disrupted
