(clean version!)
When we were growing up, my Mom made homemade hot cocoa mix, with cocoa, powdered sugar and instant milk. She stored it in plastic containers in the cupboard.
Well, I really wanted some one night, and could only find the mix she left in "baggies." I dumped a bunch in a glass with water, and gulped down 2 big swigs and about barfed!
It was plant food.

thats pretty ick
My job for awhile wass taking care of handy cap and disabled adults. Wiping the hair ass of a fourty year old man is not fun. Exspecailly if the losers on the shift before me decide to turn an eye on it.

You win Burns!
Lemme think...something icky.
I think eating the better part of a sammich only to discover when you're down to the last third, that the bread is moldy is as good as I can do right now!

Icky, but with love. Caring for grams, dying of lung disease. Secretions. ugh. I feel ill thinking about it. But I know she would have done the same for me.

Yes, Pam that is a love sacrifice........just like when someone is throwing up and you are rubbing their back and the whole time you are fighting that gag reflex yourself!!

as a guy i'd like to think that i have a "pretty strong stomach"
i started out my nursing career as a floor nurse in "rehab" taking care of stroke patients, then later finding a niche taking care of ventilator dependent patients, lots of secretions and yucky stuff there.....
i got into surgical nursing to get away from suctioning that stuff out. in the 15 or so years i worked taking people apart and putting them back together. the only times i got grossed out was caring for people with bed sores. for me it was a combination of the wounds and the cause.....another nurse was neglecting their patient,

Theres nothing like cruising down the freeway about 80 on your motorcycle and have a large bug hit your teeth, and explode in the back of your throat... Wearing a full face helmet means you can't spit, so you just swallow, and keep going.....
I watched guy walk into the bar, kinda sneak up on his friend and grab his buddies bottle of beer off the table and take a big swig, think he was funny, only to realize it was a empty bottle he was spiting his chew spit in...
I thought he was going to lick the carpet to get the taste out of his mouth....
