Seems I read quite often about how the non blogging community considers bloggers as people with no life, sitting around 24/7 blogging our lives away. So in a note to the skeptical non blogging world, I wanted to create a testimony from fellow bloggers that show we really do have a life.
Ok I guess we have to start with me since it’s my blog. I work, eat, sleep, play……. Hmmm not much of an testimony yet….. Oh I got it, my trump card! In a recent effort to prove to the world that I do have a life I have recently been doing volunteer work comprised of walking a minimum of 4 ladies across a busy street each day. Now to be fair, in effort of full disclosure, I must admit, a couple of those ladies I did trip and then run once they reached the middle of the road, but that is still a net gain of 2, see I really do have a life.
Ok next

Helped a friend clean and decorate her house for the holidays.. that took 2 days.. I have a life.. it's just boring as hell..

Well let's see...the HVAC guy's gonna be over on Monday to give me an estimate on replacing the heat pump/AC unit, my guess is about $10,000 for that. Yep, I have a life....I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go...
(It ain't all bad...my FWB or whatever he is, called and volunteered to do anything he could to help...I have to ask him if he'd mind if I called him my boy friend, much as I despise that term...gentleman friend would be appropriate but it sounds like the 90's...1890's that is)

Harsh, hell. I'm serious. I do love this guy. It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it. In fact, I'm thinking of seeing what he can do with my mother, since she's driving me out of my mind.

My life. OT
She ran up a 200+ bill at a local pharmacy. She has no way to pay it. (Merry Christmas, Mom.) When I asked her what she bought for over $200.00 at the pharmacy, she looked me square in the eye and said, "Pharmaceuticals."
Of course. I'm so dumb sometimes.

Okay, she may not have give you the "complete" answer you were seeking, but ya gotta admit, that was a pretty snappy comeback! (Must be in the jeans....er, genes? uh..jeans? which is it?)
So....you're buying your mother DRUGS for Christmas??? Wow! What a GOOD daughter you are!
My mother does both types of diving and one of them scares the hell out of me.
BOY --- I hear you LOUD and CLEAR on that one, Mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That damn invisible break sure comes in handy I know whereof you speak. Fortunately, mine doesn't enjoy driving any more, so when we go somewhere together, she always insists that I drive!
And then she sits there and CRITICIZES my driving the whole time we're out!

I just can't say it.

I'm sorry to hear that, Katy......but - get the estimated BEFORE you call your insurance company! Just to see how it compares with your deductible, if it's worth it to turn it in. Don't know how Canadian insurance companies are, but here, even if you ultimately DON'T get a check from them, they still count it as a claim against you when deciding at some point in the future whether or not to raise your rates.
