I ran to the bank after work to deposit a check. I made the deposit before 4:00pm. My funds will not be available for my spending pleasure until MONDAY.
Why in the hell do we, as bank consumers, put up with this kind of sh!t?! It's MY MONEY. I'm just grateful that I don't need to access the money now!
What silly policies of everyday living make your blood boil?

It's all part of a mind conspiracy to force, if not punish you, into accumilating debt on a credit card........ I watched some documentaries on this tactic.
Ahhhh, so sad sigh.

It gripes my butt when I use a deposit slip, to deposit so much, and get so much back. Then they tell me they have to have my ID to make sure its me. Well DUH! If I wasn't ME, would I be depositing ANY of it??? Heck no, I'd just cash the dang check.

Being allowed to get HALF of my perscription of antibiotics and having to drive back 4 days later to get the other half as my insurance company won't cover the whole thing at once.
What the hell?

I Can Top That! They, Medicare & The Insurance Companies, have cut the number of procedures a surgeon can do during each visit in half - among other new restrictions on what the doctors can do and can't do each visit for those of Us with chronic conditions... I was going for Cancer Surgery monthly, now I have to go every two weeks to get the same number of tumors removed each year that I need removed to survive... The Insurance Industry IS BY FAR The Most Profitable Industry In The World - And I worked for them for awhile, so I know... On the most popular policy The Insurance Industry sells, Statistically they take in $3000 for every ONE dollar they pay out... Come on folks, 3000 to 1 is a little much!!!

I really feel for you guys. In Canada our basic health care is very inexpensive.I think a nominal amount is taken by Revenue Canada. We pay extra to insurance companies for dental and prescriptions if we choose to. As I get older I thank god that I live up here!

National Heathcare, Socialized Medicine, whatever You want to call it IS Wonderful, But again, Not for anyone with Chronic Problems - I would never get to leave the doctors office then... I would have to have surgery, and then get in line for My next one... There are MUCH better, Less Costly, and Less Dangerous solutions to insuring Our 50 Million Uninsured than dismantling Our system that Insures 250 Million, To then Insure ALL 300 Million Americans - AND We Must Do That! No one should be uninsured in this country... Everyone seems to think it is either leave those 50 Million uninsured, or insure all 300 Million of Us via National Healthcare... Nonsense... There are LOTS of Better Solutions between the two extremes that solve the problem of the uninsured population at Much Less Cost to Our Country & Individually!

I can't see things changing in the US. Insurance companies are big business and we all know these corporations don't want to lose their piece of the pie. A national health service for all with the option of payed for extra benefits works well here. Our cancer, heart and pediatric patients get priority whether they have extra benefits or not. No one gets turned down in our ER for emergency treatment if they don't have insurance.

You can't just give the spatula a quick shove to get under the cookie. They smash up with a plastice one! Ok, something else on my list to buy, a metal spatula.

I hate when I stub my toe and no one says "bless you". In my home nation of Duffughanistan everbody does it. Why not here?
Ok seriously I hate when Cops give scam tickets, like not enough feet between in your lane change, and they know you are just going have to pay it because if you take them to court and loose, you have to pay a penalty, court cost and the original ticket, which keeps most people from fighting it and they just pay it.

Is this the thread where I can tell everyone that at the start of December I stumbled over tram tracks (no tram coming) and bunged up my knees and hand.. and what was worst all nails broke off I am still regrowing as we speak
Two weeks later I fell down the cellar stairs... my botty tail bones was deep red and blood drawing instantly.., my shoulder joint was very sore and my elbow looked like a hot air balloon when its filling. You could watch it swell. The only thing I have seen swelling in months, so it was quite enjoyable
Summary: My shoulder hurts in awkward positions (I cant participate successfully as victim in a hold up! - can only hold up one, and that could be misunderstood ) and my elbow must have been chipped cos I can feel something slipping beneath the skin and cant lean on it.
As an avid and informed Dr.House watcher... I will consult my doc and ask her to make sure the thing doesnt start wandering and end up behind my eyeball, or even worst protrude as a third nipple
