Good evening Campers!!
Wow!! What an awesome time!! I had a blast getting to know everyone this weekend! To think this all started out after Rose saw that this MD site was having a campout and told me to reactivate my account so I could get in on this! I am so glad that I made the choice to get back on here. In doing so, I have met the most incredible people in the world! I think last count I heard there might have been a total of 37 people there and we all got along like we had known eah other for years! So many times I had people asking me if I was okay from my sunburn...offering to help me find shade or aloe. Thanks for those who were looking after me!
Witnessing the marriage proposal first hand of Luvvy and Duvvy was so heart lifting, I cant even tell you! To see 2 people who fell in love on line from long distance and are making the relation work dispite the miles, gives me so much hope. It was such a beautiful exchange of feelings between two people....there wasnt a dry eye to be found! Thanks for showing me and everyone else how love can conquere all!
Ok, not sure how many heard this, but we had a couple of cool meetings happen this weekend...
First of all...a past co-worker that I worked with was there. I knew she looked familiar, but I wasnt sure how..until we talked. She wasnt on MD yet, but will be signing up. My friend of 20plus years came Saturday (she isnt a MD'er either, but will be). Well...turns out this ex co-worker (Sue) and her friend Judy (who is on MD) and my friend Kathy knew each other when they were 16!!! I guess they hung out together on a bus trip to New Mexico (I think) Isnt that just wild???
Ok,for those of you I told about my art work website.....heres the link..
www.teriscreations.com
You can go check out my past work and sign my guestbook if you like.
Well, I hope everyone has safe trips home! I know there are several driving and flying home long distances.
I enjoyed meeting each and everyone of you and look forward to next year and the big MD wedding!
Thanks to Luvvy and Duvvy for all the hard work and planning that went into this most sucesful event! Also....thanks to everyone who cooked, cleaned, and anything else that made this a fun and enjoyable weekend!
hugs to all!!!

I got a call from Pali a few hours ago (she was awake, but snuffling with allergies )...and got to talk to Sign (In English, not Sign Language ) -- And it sounded like everyone's bushed and sad that's it's over. ~sigh~

Yep, definitely a good time to be had by all, so they said. LOL, like a bunch of MDers could get together and NOT have a good time.

(I heard Funky and LovinMan's toy hauler is primo! ~grin~ I think I need one...or one of those little cabins tied down to a trailer -- purple sequin curtains and all )

Thank you Cartay for keeping Rosebowl and I company on the trip out there and back. Who woulda thought to bring sun screen along? Rosebowl looks like he's in pain everytime he turns his head to change lanes. That's one bad assed sunburn!

We are 45 miles from Des Moines. We may pull over at a John Deere dealership to check out the 2009 models. *YAWN*

I know, he got fried bad. I guess that's what happens when you are the first ones there and have to wait 2 hours for everyone else to show up.

Make sure to get a John Deere that has a roof and air conditioning.

Very good idea Mom I can't believe that 36 adults going camping could forget sunscreen. We have learned our lesson the hard way.

The little store at the campground sold sunscreen...at $10 a bottle!

I packed rain gear because I was afraid of it raining all weekend. Didn't EXPECT to have it so sunny.

Sounds like Mom's started her list already...Great!

I keep forgetting to thank TAMAK! This lady lives nearby, and she took 3 van loads of stuff to the campsite. She had a truck load of firewood delivered too last night and did soooo much for us. She even took all the leftover food to a food bank this afternoon, so MD members did something good too.
