This ol Texas gal got a heck of a sunburn too. It didn't turn tomato red until today! Already have aloe vera slathered on.

This was a fabulous experience with so many wonderful people. I'm hoping I can get the extra days off next year. It's hard with it being the end of the school year.

I didn't get home until 10:30 tonite. Had a few "experiences" at the San Antonio airport--will blog about it tomorrow.I still hate flying and airports!

Car--

Spirit thank you for the thoughts. And I'm sure you helped us have a gorgeous week end. A few drops of rain and that was it.

Well you DID tell us all to have positive thoughts about the weather. And DR (Desert Rock) helped with his prayer as the rain started on Friday. And then stopped after the prayer he said! Saturday we had enough drops for us to get everything under cover, then it stopped! LOL

So, I hear we can all go to Sweet's wedding reception!?

the reason i said the reception is the hospital chapel where we are getting married is teeny tiny might hold 25 or 30 people.. and my house will hold lots more.. IT is on a friday night.. and if some of my sisters would be here i would even let you sleep in the house LOL couch, floor.. just turn it into a party but lets perhaps get a head count in advance.. Sweet N Louisiana

I am begining to write this a little after 4:00 AM. (you all
know what weird sleeping habits I have) I have so many thoughts, and
feelings, that I want to say that I am writing this on notebook, and
keep clicking back to the threads, because I don't want to miss
a question from any of you. I love you!!! BUT, please forgive
me if I do miss some.

I am totally in awe, of the LOVE I felt this weekend... Darnit,
KNEW I shoulda stocked up on kleenx!... It
didn't need to rain, I had the ground (and Duvvy's shirt fronts
soaked with enough tears) ALL OF THEM HAPPY TEARS, except for a
couple times. I was on overload, and had a couple melt downs.
That will not happen next year, as the most wonderful people
EVER, have stepped up and volentered to take total responsability
for everything. They are up for the task. (more on that later.)

Put on your seatbelts, this is gonna take a while. Sit back,
relax with your choice of snack and beverage... (don't want anyone
close enough to their moniter to Laugh and blow pineapple out their
nose... )TRUST ME, it does NOT feel good! Thanks again LUCKY!

I will try and start at the beggining, and fill you all in on the
details as they unfolded. As my brain is still very tired, they
may not be in the right order, also excuse all the misspelling, as my spell check isn't working.

Posted by moi, on May 14th:
If it decides to rain, I will still go hiking Sign.
Yeah right, as far as I know, not a single person left the
camp to do anything besides go for supplies I forgot, or more
of their favorit beverage. We just couldn't pull ourselves away from the fun we were having.

Cartay, in reference to taking naps:
But Luvvy........we will actually be sleeping
Duvvy and I did sneak away for a bit once, and that was only because
Lisa insisted we get some alone time. Thank you Lisa, you have no
idea how blessed we felt for that. EVEN if my sister kept yelling
my name from outside our cabin. (more on that later too)

Redhairandfreckles:
Hope everyone has a safe journey going to and coming back
from the camping trip. I'll be thinking about all of the great
fun you guys are going to have!
Eat a S'More or two or three or........for me!
Thank you for all the positive thoughts, prayers, and good wishes
from everyone! We didn't have room in our tummys for any smores.

Lucky said:
Well I am so excited I know I wont be able to sleep tonight..............
Not a truer statmeant could have been made!

Pammy:
Hope you guys have the BEST time EVER!! Did Duvy ever get a flight out?
We DID!

Yes, unfortunatly, his plane didn't land until after 12:30.
Bless Katy and Sign for suffering 8 extra hours at the airport.
(aside from a trip to Walmart) Hey, we had to kill some time
somewhere, an airport isn't the most comfortable place to sit
around yanno! Katy and I had been up for many hours, but Sign
ended up being up for 23 1/2 hours, and not a single complaint
from her about that! I love you, my little cat friend!

Heaven:
Doubly bad for me, I was really looking forward to it. Instead I'm working AND on call the whole weekend...
My guess is you will use your pull next year. Love you too!

Becky:
Okay ladies and gents now behave I really dont want to have to
find a way to bail anyone outta jail k?? well on second thought .... hmmm
ahh shoot go ahead have MORE fun than you are allowed k?? [b[have some for me too
[/b]
You have no idea how many times I thought of you, and wished you
could have been there, as well as Katt, Sunny, Soli, Sassy, Sweet
OH MY! I can't even begin to name who all I wish could have been
there, and hope they/you will be next year.

Katt:
So, they have internet there or are you using a phone Brass?
Being as illitorate as I am, (can't even spell that) I can only say there were short
periods where the internet worked. I was quite suprised, as
we were truly out in the boonies.

Spring under Sign's account:
We are finishing loading the cars....and getting ready to
leave.....yeahhhhhhh
Cars, vans, truck and TRAILER!

Eyes:
I think someone needs to get this trip on video and do a "Matchdocumentary"
It was mentioned that they set up some sort of direct link with
you about a cam shot. (refer to above knowledge)
Eyes:
heck, we could even strive to outdo the campers' fun!!!
Sorry sweetie, but I don't think you could have filled those
boots with dancing slippers. smooch!
Eyes:
I do know the caravan stopped for "liquid reinforcement"
The most of which came home with me to stock my bar for next
year. Too much fun was being had without the liquid courage.
Yes, even karaoke!

Mom:
You all are making me lonely.
More incintive to get you here next year. Not that you need any, I know how bad you wanted to come. We needed you there too, I don't know how many times I overheard: "I'm telling MOM!"

Spirit:
Oh! Not me, Mom! I am picking up on everyone else's energy
vibes! Wooooooooooot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Party for me!
So glad you were picking up our energy! You were thought of a
lot too! I met someone that I think you would so

Spring was telling me about Gray's stew and Cookies' chili...........
while I was in heavy traffic and starving to death!!
I have to correct you, it was Duvvy's chili. Your mouth would
have been watering just smelling it!!! When Gray first told me
the ingredients he would need, I thought eewwe... I changed my
mind really quick! It was one of the most delious things to ever
pass my lips! And Duvvy's chili was next in line.

Sign:

Robo would lose that bet. She was up and about 30 minutes ago!
Many of us slept in today as we had long long days on Thursday
and Friday.
Great food, great conversation and a really pretty spot for us
all. We had an "award" ceremony last night. Pali got the prize
for coming the farthest to attend, New Patches got an award for
actually getting here, Gray got yellow smiley m &m's for his
emotie use! Cookie got a megaphone so he can direct all the
activities today and Spring got awarded her very own coonbear!!
Luvvy and Duvvy got some stuff too. They can post about it later.
Cartay also got one for her fear of bugs!

I am so embarrased, Sign was to get one too, but as it was the
first one I got, I had it in my room, instead of putting it
with the camping gear, and thats where it still is. I will be
snail mailing it to her.... after Tues.

If anyone else got one, please post it. I am sooo brain dead!
We have reallat gorgeous MD t-shirts and Duvvy made a camping
"legend" so we can keep track of who comes every year.
Pics, and story pending... After Tuesday....

Mom:
And mine was financial

I have a plan for that. More later...

Spirit:
Woot!!!! You know, hearing about it all, whether accurate or
not is almost as fun as doing it yourself! Especially
if the person hearing it has traveling issues. <<<< Like me
! Highly entertaining, no smoke, no skeeters, no high gas or
pet sitting costs!

Perhaps the one's that are sitting home being entertained should
donate a bit next time too.

See above post...
AHEMMMMM.... MATCHDOCTOR????

Katt:
There is a rumor, about MD calling and saying hi to them.

This is the biggest gathering so far on MD, and it is going
to happen next year again
... As far as I know, it didn't happen. (Trust me, I heard MANY things, some will NEVER pass my lips, or fingertips)

I am honored to ~sniff~ (damn tears anyway) to be the one that
did a lot of the organizing of this event. (I did have a lot
of help from behind the scences, and they deserve a lot of the
credit. I too, hope it is even bigger next year Katt.

Redhair:
Will next year's trip be in Indiana again? If so, I might be
able to make that one, since by then I'll be living back in
NC.
I know someone has already answered about the location of next
year. As long as I am "boss"
(Cookie gave me that horrific title) It will either be at the same place, or may move to Florida
with me. (my main help and partner will be helping me with
all the major decisions, just as he did this year, but no one knew)
He doesn't enjoy being in the limelight any more then I do. Everything we did for
this, came from our hearts.

I'm glad to hear that Canu! Was it not beautiful? I am so proud when I say I was raised in Parke County, and it just keeps pulling me back... It is also getting a strong grip on Duvvy!

As for the photobucket, we have to wait for Spring to get it set up.

Picture me on top of the picnic table.

Better yet, from the trunk of my car. (not that I am proud of that, and I did (hopefully) give a sincere appology)

JUST A REMINDER: NO PICTURES WILL BE POSTED UNTIL EVERYONE GETS TO APPOVE THEM. NO PICTURE WILL BE DELETED FROM THE PHOTOBUCKET ACCOUNT FOR 3 DAYS!

You may post as many as yourselves as you want, just allow everyone the oppertunity to "edit" ones of themselves.

I just want to say thank you to everyone for the warm welcome I received at the camp out. I could only stay a few hours, but the warmth from everyone was wonderful. They sure know how to make you feel at home very quickly. I am looking forward to next year and staying for the weekend.
