I would like to thank ALL fellow campers for embracing a certain last minute addition to the group. I was faced with the challenge of trying to explain the concept of on-line gathers to someone that was two weeks new to MD. The warmth and love of the group reached out and facilitated the perfect setting for a first meeting that blossomed. (yes MD, you may use that in your Mission Statement) I love you all.

I'm trying to return to normal today--hard to do! LOL It was a great week end. Only bad part happened on the way home--doggone airports!! I'll blog about it later today. I have 4 loads of laundry to do--even some stuff that is clean but smells of wood smoke. The fire on Sat. nite was awesome! As was Cookie's orange palm tree!
We saw no bearcoons but Spring did get one anyway. We need an awards blog sometime. We started some things we hope become traditions, like the legend board and the MAGSRA award (blame Desert Rock for the name!)
I still can't believe this Texas gal got such a horrific sunburn! Gonna go through a lot of aloe vera gel. (And hope Rosebowl found something to use on his sunburn also.)

Permission to use any photos of me. I doubt there's many of just me, I was always in a group.

I agree Brass MD can certainly count this as a "Success Story" just of a different, special, nature other than dating

I wrote down all the people I could remember being there and my count was 34. I'm not sure if I missed anyone or not. But it came close to our original count, although some of the people were different (not the same ones who signed to go, but others who stopped in or came with a friend.)

Awright! Awright!.....I'll stop thinking I'm too brain dead to learn how to use the forums.... Here the camping trip is behind me and I just now found this forum...

I even stayed in my own bed
Lisa....ya can't know how I appreciated that...

For those who got sunburned...maybe a few tanning bed sessions before ya come next year? It could save ya a lot of misery....and money on sunscreen and aloe vera

I think we're all having camp out withdrawal today....I cannot stay off my computer and get anything done...

Well I am just a wonderful time at the MD camping trip.Like I said in the other forum. My life has been marred with tragedy and disappointment so I was very weary about staying because I have problems meeting new people because I always wonder what people would think about me. Well when I took brass-wolf and cartay there they made me feel warm and that I was welcome. Well when we got there, we were the only peopel there for a about an hour until Cookie and Lisa showed up. They also made me warm too. Well I finally decided I was going to stick around for the night because I was so exhausted from the trip and so hungry. Well people started showing up left and right I finally realized that the people did not worry about me but were there to have a great time and meet new people. Well the more I got to know people I actually got to feel like it was a family. Well I am so glad that I decided to stay. Well I am so glad that I am a part of next years event.

Rosebowl you were a great addition to the group. Always willing to help with anything. And to volunteer to be logistics and transportation coordinator next year--wow!

How's the sunburn??

The sunburn is feeling much better but I still have blisters on my neck and ears. When I got home I found some lotion but not Aloe but it is working. Well I enjoyed volunteering because the baby of the group was wanting you all to get to know each other better. Well it was such a pleasure meeting you signme and I had a wonderful time getting to know you and all the other wonderful people there.

I finally made it home! I made a short overnight stop at a girlfriends house in Indy and spent the night sleeping in a wonderful canopy bed and took a most needed bubble bath in her garden tub...
I now feel rested....

After going through a difficult last month and a half, this camping trip was just what I needed! I laughed so much my tummy hurt and the friends I've made warms my heart. Saturday nights "Soul Train" line to hits like "Love Shack", was awesome and I haven't danced like that in years! Unfortunately when Lucky and I began walking back to the cabin that evening....we felt it too!!
Why I even got to be Diana Ross singing "You can't hurry love" and Aretha's "Respect" complete with background singers and dancers!! What a hoot!
The food was FANTASTIC and the company AWESOME!!!
Thank you Luvvy and Duvvy for all of your hard work.... and to all my new found friends....THANK YOU for making this the most memorable weekend ever....I really needed it!!
Oh...and cabin #4.....YOU ROCK!!

I have a request for my fellow campers. I am on board for next year's event. I am however canceling my account after I see the pictures from this years event. No drama please. Rosebowl will be my eyes and ears at MD during the interum. I'd like e-mail addresses tho from anyone who wants to keep in touch. Thanks.

Rosebowl, nobody said nuffin, but I was rereading the posts and they were ambiguous as to who was who.I was just keeping the rumor mill at bay. I wonder if Jake and Elwood ever dined on ribs at a rest stop?
