Recently, I was told that a person had 'saved' my emails. I'm so terrified that the FBI, IRS or worse could be laying eyes on them. Just knowing that all this confidentional information (supposing I could even remember what I wrote) could land in the wrong hands strikes fear in my heart and gives me cause to run to the corner for Immodium. Do you save emails? To what end? For what purpose? (Has anyone ever heard of the edit key?) Are the people who save old emails the same ones who still have their gym shorts from 9th grade and the notes they passed in the hallways? Fess up. Are you a saver? And if so, why?

I only delete emails from scammers after THEY have been deleted. Other than that they stay until MD clears them.
Of course, some special emails are forwarded to my regular mail and saved to mt PC.

FBI, IRS or worse could be laying eyes on them. well..from what I have been told..if they didn't have them before...they will certainly have them in 24 hours... super computers are very fast...and their memories go way...............back......
seriously... could such a sweet woman have such a sordid past???

I hate clutter.. so no.. I don't save my emails. Of course, I don't get that many either.. but I see no need to keep them.

I keep them when I am communicating with someone so I can refer back to some fact or information that I might otherwise forget. If I don't chat with them anymore...DELETE!

I have on occasion saved some for a while, much like Cathy said. I am corresponding with them & want them to refer back to for information. Even those, I don't save for extended periods. So my answer is NO..I don't save my emails, I simply don't find the necessity in it.

Not really. I had saved over 250 emails from my recently defunct S.O. but I deleted the folder earlier this week.

I find by deleting them all I can track my 100 for the day much easier..... I have never run out, but I know a few times I was very, very close.
I probably have a ton in my trash, but it's not like I could find one if a had to..... Well, If I had only received one or two from someone I guess I could.

I save my emails.....sometimes it helps clarify what is said when someone forgets what they wrote... I also make copies of the sweet ones I get from beach and keep in my pocket.

Well, a couple of gals I've known way back when, kept all mine, and put them in a binder. I'm just afraid that someday there'll be a book called "eMails From An Idiot!"

Yes I save my emails...there seems to be some people on here that forget what they said or sent to me in emails so I just am doing them a big favor and saving them all...just in case they forget what they said or need a refresher course on what they sent me
