anybody ever been to a parenting class.  i've been ordered by the judge to go to one. i have one today from 1-5. what's it like? i'm leaving in 30 min so anybody outhere?

Its wonderful. You can learn alot. The judge is a msart person making ya do thisl Its a hell of alot easier just to stamp a big BUZZ on someones forehead and say that its a waste. These classes are ment for the beneifit for the kids. So it all is going to depend on youre out look going in. Be open, and look for the new idea that you can learn.
Good luck brother I hope it worls for you. The alternitive is truely not the plesant one.

thanks for the info.  i want to learn how to be the best parent i can. i hope my xwife will go with an open mind and learn something too. she is being difficult to say the least. won't give him my presents. he talks different to me now. acts like he could care less if i visit him. he'a 4 years old. he used to always ask me when i'm coming. now he says i'll see you when we get to Heaven. wht'a up with that? i think his mom is saying stuff to him against me. i'm 550 miles away right now and can't do anything about it YET. but i'm going to see him in march unannounced so she won't happen to not be there if you know what i mean 
gotta go get something to eat but keep posting. i can learn from yall too after the class

ps.. Dont allow to much thought and worry go on in ya about the ex. You got new bosses now. And you have to lift your end, on your own. I encourage the use of as many classes and supports being offered arround you. No one person is born with the skills of a master. So its not fair to think we have all the talent needed. These courses are masters in that area. Like a sword, or bow master.
Respect the knowledge. Humble in the wisdom. Then apply its practice. Thats the way of one on the warriors path. Good luck.

it did until i got home and got a summons to appear in court march 5th. she is doing everything the parenting class says not to do to your child.

As a mother of 5 ... all so freakin' different ...
I'm 'bout to give up!!!!
OK, I admit, I didn't read any of the posts here .... but just my $0.02 (Why the HELL isn't there a cents symbol on my keyboard??) ...
Read all the books you possibly can.
Listen to lectures.
Consults *experts*.
When they are teen-agers it all flies out the window!
I'd buy a book that tells me ...
