Thought that some of you may be interested in this chart. It shows
when you can expect your rebate check from the IRS.
The check is in the mail
Week Last 2 digits of your SSN Receive your check by week of
1 00 - 09 July 23
2 10 - 19 July 30
3 20 - 29 August 6
4 30 - 39 August 13
5 40 - 49 August 20
6 50 - 59 August 27
7 60 - 69 Sept. 3
8 70 - 79 Sept. 10
9 80 - 89 Sept. 17
10 90 - 99 Sept. 24
**NOTE**
For married taxpayers who filed a joint return, the first Social
Security Number on the return determines the mailing date.

Wow! I can hardly wait....mine comes AFTER summer vacation, when my son is already back in school! LOL Aw well, maybe we'll go somewhere next year!

I don't get one!  Although my income is fully taxable, and I write a big check to Uncle Sam every year (compared to my income, because I can't afford a lot for deductions to lower my AGI), my income is not "earned income" (wages) or Social Security.
Once again, I fall through the damn cracks. 
Unfrigginbelievable. 
...so for one of you who's lucky enough to hold one of those $600 checks in your hand, check the signature -- it just might be endorsed directly from me to you. Enjoy ~sigh~

I was reading a news article about the "rebate", lol, I won't get one... it seems my "Railroad retirement/ VA pension, makes me ineligible.....

$600 = the magic amount in which a defacto form 1099 is required to be issued by law, making it taxible income. Clever. Make mine out for $599 please.

Hmmmm, not to bring up the ol' "conspiracy theory" stuff, but I wonder if Uncle Sam is going to use "greed" as bait for some sort of sting operation.

Todays newspaper said they were coming out in May so I checked and found this.Where did you get not until the end of July info?
Tax Rebate Check Mailing Schedule Not Yet Decided

The first round of tax rebates should be in the mail in May, but if you are looking for a specific arrival date, keep waiting.
The IRS said no decision has been made on who will get their rebate checks first. A payment schedule isn't expected until next week.
Anyone receiving a rebate must file a tax return

 I'm tired.....this is all just TOO taxing for me!!!
