How do you deal with someone who is asking you the brand of your watch or clothes etc?
Has this person the self-esteem tied up in things?

just because someone ask a question it doesn't mean you have to answer...you could say "why do you ask", tell them none of their business, change the subject, ignore it or etc......but really the answer you give depends on how you decide to handle the question......

Sometimes people are just impressed with your style,,,,I always take it as a compliment. (especially when I know I bought it at Giant Tiger)

Moon they may just be curious as to where you got them. If they are asking in a nosey way, you don't need to answer. If it's a more admiring way, like "I really like that top, where did you get it?" then just answer.
I buy most of my clothes from discount stores so rarely get asked about them. Half the people where I work have the same outfits! LOL

tell them the brand and then ask them how many places did they have to search to find the ______(whatever) they are wearing,
