I love Papa Johns pizza. My favorite is the pineapple and canadian bacon pizza with extra cheese. I like them because thier pizza sauce isn't as strong as Pizza Huts. You have to eat it with extra garlic butter though.
My second favorite is Dominoes cause damn...I don't know why but they just have some really good pizza. I like their pizza with extra cheese and breakfast bacon on it.

The Seattle U-District has "Harry's Famous" Pizza. Pizza should also be worn. Yummy.
This kind of place makes pizza the right way only for serious minded pizza eaters.
Budget delivery pizza are kinda O.K. but I would rather have a "Papa John's" Pizza. Their 16" custom pizzas are 'da-bomb' man.

I feel extremely guilty posting here after posting on the "Health & Fitness" thread, but I actually like Schlotzky's Thai Chicken and BBQ Chicken pizzas

Schlotzky's! OH....I love their food! The closest one to me is in Reno. I was there last week and was looking forward to their original turkey sandwhich....and they were closed! grrrrrrrr
As for pizza, we have one pizza parlor in town and I can FINALLY say (with the new owners) that they have the best pizza ever. :)

In what they call the North End of Boston, there are about a dozen places that can only be topped by a few in New York City (which, of course, can top any thing at any time). You could accidentally enter any of the dozen and be happy; but, the "best" - far and away - is Regina's (just off Hanover Street if you are lucky enough to give it a go.)

I really like "good" pizza which hard to find even in NYC. I'll admit the average slice in the NYC area ain't too shabby but lots of places are just average. In some parts of the country an average slice gets rave reviews so I guess good is all about location.
I'm not sure if there is good pizza in the Portland area but all the recommendations have been pretty weak so I've taken things into my own hands. I make my own dough, my oven is tricked out with unglazed quarry tiles and I'm well stocked with assorted cheese, olive oil and San Marzano tomatoes.
Ok maybe I like pizza a bit more than most and here is a list of my favorite places.
The top three
----------------------------
DiFara's (B'klyn)
Top Road Tavern & Pizza (Trenton, NJ) NJ's best
Palermo's (Bordentown, NJ) NJ's 2nd best
Great Pizza
--------------
DeMarco's (NYC)
Patsy's (NYC)
Grimaldi's (B'klyn)
Totonno's (B'klyn)
Frank Pepe's (New Haven, CT)
Vic's (Bradley Beach, NJ)
Santillo's Brick Oven Pizza (Elizabeth, NJ)
Delorenzo's (Trenton, NJ on Hamilton Ave)
Honarable mentions
-----------------------------
John's (NYC)
Sal & Carmines (NYC)
Sac's (Queens)
Denino's (Staten Island)
Joe & Pat's (Staten Island)
Brooklyn's (Hackensack, NJ)
Delorenzo's (Trenton, NJ on Hudson St)
Delucias (Raritian, NJ)
Maruca's (Seaside Park, NJ)
Scorintino's (South Amboy, NJ)
Kate & Al's (Columbus Market, NJ)
Spirto's (Elizabeth, NJ)
Coffaro's (South River, NJ)
Pepe's (Seaside, NJ) r.i.p. 1970's
Zaffiro's (Milwaukie, WI)
Santucci's Square Pizza (Philly, PA)
Highly Overrated
L & B Spufunky Gardens (B'klyn)
Kinchley's (Ramsey, NJ)
Rizzo's (Queens)
Pete and Elda's Bar (Neptune, NJ)
Escape from NY (Portland, OR)

Hey denae, pizza isn't that bad healthwise. Unless you eat a whole one by yourself...
We have a pizza place called Water Front Pizza. Best I ever had. And yes...it's on the water front. They make it the good ol fashioned way and you can get all kinds of extra toppings.
My favorite is sausage w/artichoke hearts and a big handful of alfalfa sprouts on top. One slice is a full course meal.

NOW, there's a man that has studied pizza.
He had me going until he left the northeast.
There is no such thing as "good" pizza anywhere south of New Jersey.
Alfalfa - What is that? Pizza for the Dead-End Kids?
Alfalfa on pizza is like giving a whore a blanket.
It ain't gonna be on top long and it only gets in the way.

It's the best ever. Being Italian I concur that it's the finest. They make it fresh daily even their dough. "Home of the Pizza Guarantee"

My kitchen! I make the best pizza going so why would I waste money buying it somewhere else when I already know that the taste and the quality of any pizza I can buy is going to be so sub-standard that I might as well be eating cardboard?

Thanks 'Always', but being since I a woman, can't ever make up my mind what I want...just kidding..
Anyone know the earliest 'pizza' invention that was known?
