When you wake in the morning to birds singing,What type of song would come to mind?? That of a lost love,or that of dreams of Love to come

The Carpenter's song comes to mind, but no clue if that is lost love or dreams of something I wish would come...
not holdin my breath for that last one, doesn't seem likely...

I'm with Heaven...I LOVE hearing the birds singing, but it's never reminded me of love, unless it would be my love of, well...birds singing!

This one from Randy Travis comes to mind when I hear the morning hoot of a sandhill crane on the river.

My love is deeper that the holler, stronger than the rivers
Higher than the pine trees growin' tall upon the hill
My love is purer than the snowflakes that fall in late December
And honest as a robin on a springtime window sill
And longer than the song of the Whippoorwill

It's still a little bit too cool to have the windows open to listen for the birds. I know what the Summer birds songs sound like (being warm at the time of year I'll keep my windows open).

This is what I could only imagine a Winter-Spring birds song might sound like.

It's a pretty, HUGE flake, straight down snow...didn't stick to concrete...yards are pretty, and it will all be gone tomorrow!

I really don't think of a song either...I love listening to the birds!

During summer this bird comes from such and such hour
to such and such hour. He sings for a little bit then leaves.
He sounded like being on a payroll. He does not sing more,
he does not sing less.He sings some few notes then leaves
the area and I stand there wanting to hear more of his
beautiful singing. He does not care. He is on a payroll.
This guy understands one thing, this area belongs to him
and his singing is his way of proving that.
Come back here you silly bird, come back and sing.
I told you, he does not care

I don't hear em much in the morning but when I get home from school in early evening, I enjoy sitting on my porch and watching the activity at the bird feeders and listening to the songs. They certainly don't remind me of any kind of love, esp. not the relationship I just got out of! Now the bird poop might remind me of that, but not their songs!

It's ok Lori--I'm a survivor. And having the camping trip to look forward to is helping a lot!

This is kind of off the subject, but the other day I was listening to a mockingbird sing, and it was oddly different.......it sounded like.....modern technology.

Mockingbirds "mock" the sounds they hear, and this one had apparently been hearing.....car alarms. It was sadly amusing.....or amusingly sad?

Lj I had one that lived near my yard that quacked like a duck! I like it better when they imitate different bird songs not harsh sounds.
