Took me the longest time to find the "duck" in my yard! LOL

Also had a mockingbird that would dive bomb the cats when they crossed the road.

I love the racket that morning birds make. It makes me feel alive!
And I also love the chatter of evening birds. It's so seasonal. I don't think
of anything but being able to get outside and the the longer daylight hours
and warmth of summer. Sweet thoughts.

Can't say as it reminds me of love to come or love lost...

But, from mid June until mid August I have nesting eagles just inside the woods along side of my bedroom window. They start their chattering at first light and it is a sound that is unforgettable. I also have many Orioles in the spring and their mating calls are likely the most pleasant and variable sound of any North American bird. They should start arriving later this month and I am ready...

A friend of mine who lives in a housing development that has huge lots full of trees, found a buzzard's nest with baby buzzards in it. He took some pics and downloaded them to send to show us. Buzzards are ugly when they are grown up and ugly as babies too!

No song comes to mind when I hear the birds in the morning. I used to love to awaken to the sounds of our doves. Now our midnight crowing rooster was another story.
