hmmm good idea. rebel by yourself or in a small group and get slaughtered by Saddam's goons. most people in a despotic regime have been brainwashed to believe or are too scared to rebel. it doesn't just happen like that.

don't be fooled, the brainwashing means they bought into the system which is proof they aren't completely innocent any more than Barrack and Michele

OMG LOL. Of course they're innocent. People are easily brainwashed, just like the German people in World War II were brainwashed by promises of a better economy and a purer, brighter, greater future. People will buy into anything if they think it will benefit them; it doesn't lessen their innocence. If they committed no crime they are innocent. They did not leave Iraq because they COULDN'T.
BTW- by your standards, all those (innocent) people who bought into the agendas of the cult leaders like David Koresh, who committed no crimes but in the end destroyed their own lives...are not innocent because they were brainwashed. Disgusting. It is human nature to be brainwashed by a charismatic leader.

Like I said, feminism has affected our military decisions and methods of war...did you read where I said I wasn't against warning them...we could even offer them a safe place to run to and help get them there and monitor them carefully for enemy behavior...there are ways to do this without being so afraid of doing what it takes to win swiftly and decisively.

I didn't think we were bashing each other, just discussing a very tough subject...but once I finally was able to clarify my position more completely, you decided to come in with that bashing comment which means my last post got ignored, which is a major bummer

I must admit I'm a little tired of defending my right to have Feminists on my deal breaker list

There are a lot of men and women who know that feminism has gone too far...it's just not politically correct to state that...I'm not afraid to state the truth and I'm not worried about being politically correct

Well I can agree with you on one thing. You're definitely not "politically correct" in the context of "politically aware or educated"...Whether you realize it or not, Iraq or Afghanistan didn't attack us or attempt to overthrow our government. The US overthrew THEIR governments.
And have you figured out the difference between "feminist" and "feminine" yet?

SunBabe, Afghanistan was a hotbed of terrorism that was supposedly harboring Osama bin Laden. Even most left wingers agree that going in there was the right thing to do.
If you think back carefully you should be able to remember that Saddam Hussein refused to cooperate with the UN Inspectors time after time after time after time, through many, many, many, many warnings and ultimatums before we finally held true to our word that we would not let him become the world terrorist that he was more than willing to let us believe he was fully capable of becoming, which is something most left wingers have conveniently forgotten.
I have already made it quite clear that I know the difference between being feminine and being a feminist. I don't know how many times I have to say I agree with women's lib on civil rights, equal pay for equal performance and that women and men are equal in value. What more do I have to say to get people to understand that I am not against women or femininity. The only thing I am against is the attack on masculinity which is rampant in our society due to the over reaching efforts of feminism.
