Do you only choose to be friends with people who agree with you all the time?
When they disagree with you, do they cease to be your friend?

So what Im hearing, is that you are not so narcissistic as to think your point of view is the only acceptable one.

I choose my freinds very carefully ... I like ones that stimulate my mind . and no they don't ALWAYS have to agree with me .. but partners in crime are a good thing and for sure I would not drop a friend for a mere little disagreement .. that is not a true friend .. a true friend who has been there for years and had your back more than once is worth trying to work thigngs out not having a tantrum and storming off

My closest friends have been with me since middle school. With new friends I don't choose them per se, we just click in some way and become friends.

I agree Becks.
To me, someone who turns on and off a friendship, based on whether someone agrees with you or not, is similar to a "fair weather" sports fan (one who always roots for the winning team).
I have had knock down drag outs with my best friends in this world. Even coming to physical blows at times......but we always remained friends. If you choose your friends wisely from the start, it doesnt matter what they say or do, because you will always have a common bond and shared respect.

I really don't think it is about point of view because after all one's point of view is the only one that matter.i'm referring to selecting friends that are as strong as myself unafraid to speak their minds without fear of losing me as a friend.

I have become very picky. I have found that many times the people you thought were friends, really were not. I enjoy friendships with both men and women as they sometimes see things from different points of view.

I have so many different types of friends. Each one has their own special personality. Do I fight with them? Not really. I have spoken the truth to them before and heard silence for awhile.
I might seen shy, or even a "bubble head" type of person on the net, but my friends know better.

No, and no.
The best of friends will disagree and remain friends. I try to choose friends that I know I can depend on, and they know they can depend on me.

Not to mention, that if you respect your friend......you will also respect their point of view. Even if it differs from your own.
In fact, if you respect your friend enough, and allow him or her to present their side and listen to it with an open mind, you just might find out that they are right.
Its hard to learn anything from someone you do not respect.

I have to say, most of my friends are from here. Down through the years we have stuck together. I have met some amazing people from here, from the old days and the new ones.
Each has their own thing that adds to my life.
