Posts: 9,605 		We studied Earth Day in school today. My kids learned when and where it started, along with tips to help take care of the Earth. We have to do a recycling project for social studies so we're going to save old plastic bottles and then use them to make tornadoes in a jar.

Edited to add: I took plastic grocery bags into our local grocery store to be recycled today and got a free cloth bag to use when shopping now!

Posts: 12,083 		Earth day here ..we tended to the yard ... and walked everywhere today... .. and found out that a geranium that I thought the kids had killed when they crashed into it with their bikes a few years back had chosen to come back to life!!!!!! I LOVE the colors just made my day to see them
