I don't know, but I know that there has been one person that has disguised themselves as a forum poster/blogger in order to gather data for a book on internet dating. She was busted, though.

Hey, maybe this whole 'living' thing is an experiment..so what?
(And she wasn't the only one writing a book - remember STLDad, the lewdest and crudest, who turned out to be a happily married author? At least he owned up when it was finished though)
Other than the fact that we're not being paid for our contributions, I'm okay with it....

Hey, maybe this whole 'living' thing is an experiment..so what? if it is an experiment, some of it has gone terribly wrong from either to much control or neglect.
Other than the fact that we're not being paid for our contributions, maybe we are being"paid" in real or imagined "benefits."

[Off-topic, but I thought your new avatar was a Renoir at first, Madam! Lovely, btw! ]
I remember being sure that one of our Canadian friends here was using this site for her Masters Thesis when the site first began. I hope she saved all the material and facts, becuase she could clean up on a few seasons worth of scripts for the Soaps.
(I was among those "manipulated", but wound up with the prize/s in the end ~grin~ )
On the other hand, I remember a certain "colorful" damsel who completely snowed everybody here with her day-to-day and African adventures...her "come-clean" confession left a really nasty taste in everyone's mouth. Truly an ugly, scammy thing to do...and it makes me wonder if she's back collecting more "data" since then.

Keeno, this is exactly what I believed about a year and a half ago. I asked the same question.
If a graduate student, professor of (human sexuality, psychology, anthropology, sociology, the science of demographics) wanted to study human interaction then why not create an online laboratory?
Seems like the perfect lure for lust magnets
Anyway there is a lot of information that anyone can tune into and obtain without having to canvass strangers in malls or in waiting rooms for voluntary anonomous information. Just come here.
But I think that MatchDoctor is here for the bucks $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
yep the big bucks made online $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
How? By the advertisers that place their Gif banners in the margins of our forum topics and our e-mails (so be sure to click them every once in a while so that MatchDoctor can make some money to keep the site going). Also, I suppose some money is made from the Golden Members (God bless them).
Maybe MatchDoctor wants to invite Universities and special interest groups to view and pay for the rights of the information contained herein?????
I really don't even care anymore, at this point I am just on here as a routine of my daily activities so that I will not go to sleep at night completely bored.

Yep. That is exactly who I was speaking of. And I've heard different things. She could be here, but I don't want to say that she definitely is.

If that is the case, I really did like said person, she was funny and God knows more intelligent than most of us here..
I wonder who of us are in her book?
