Mostly German on my fathers side and French on my Mothers. I guess this means one side can't win a war and the other doesn't even know how to fight one

Italian German, with some Dutch and some English

Northern Italian (Milano) and Middle German ... Alpine/Nordic mixture with some Mediterranean mixed in.

I am proud as f*** and that is why I am a hyphenated American. I will NEVER forget where I came from or the hardships my family faced.

OMG... here we go.... I am a classic american mutt

Italian, Basque & Spanish on my father's side... I'm proud of that heritage and it give me my classic beauty dark eyes, hair and olive skin tone. The Basque people are a unique, hardy folk that I am still learning about.

French, Welsh and Scottish on me mums side... my family are descendants of the Marquis de Lafayette who supported our first president in the revolution, was with him at Valley Forge and was a close personal friend. Who couldn't be proud of that? Too bad the US didn't quite.... oh never mind..... I'm not getting into that can of worms

Our Scottish heritage is from the Clan Campbell of the highlands.... maybe that's why I get so HOT when I watch the Highlander movies

Hehe, Tah, not because the main characters are soo hot?!?

German on my Dad's side, all the way back, and Irish on my Mom's side. So Dad's big feet and Mom's gift of blarney. I even got to Ireland to kiss the stone!

Actually, I'm proud of my heritage as well. My great grandfather on my mom's side was one of the first foremen on the famous King Ranch in Texas and there is a small town named after him. My father's family came over as Hessian soldiers during the Revolution, then became farmers. My ma and pa met in Texas during WW 2.

Mixed emotions for me - German on my dad's side, he was an immigrant who was half starved as a kid, managed to get over here as an adult and worked his butt off to make a good life for himself and his family - proud as can be of him; my mom's side is Slovenian, except for a touch of Hungarian when my great-grandmother was raped after watching her family killed - ethnic cleansing in action. I'm certainly proud of her though, she managed to escape and when she found herself pregnant, raised my grandma entirely on her own in late 19th century Europe. Not a small feat!

Second generation born-in-America Swedish on my Mom's side---wonderful memories of the language and traditions within which we were raised. My Dad's family can be charted back to the 600's in England/Scotland, depending on where the border was at the time---have been told that's what Markham means. I have a family sword from the Revolutionary War---seems they came here early on :-)

German, English and Norse.

The whole clan came on a boat from England. After that...the seed was spread far and wide.

Welsh, Irish, English and Dutch on my Dad's side.

German, Irish, American Indian and English on my mom's side.

Not sure what that makes me except confused.

I have traced my mom's side back to Teutonic Royalty and Dad's side to Lady Godiva.

Grandmothers side (paternal) Wales.
Grandfathers side ( paternal) We went back as far as the late 1700's and lost all the papers. ( thinking though, England)

Grandmothers side ( maternal) We are thinking Dutch or German.
Grandfathers side ( maternal) straight from London England.
