Yes, in order to avoid dissension - I am tattooed and have been for years. But there are drawbacks to tattoos:
The butterfly on my shoulder is now fluttering on my butt cheek.
The sleeping angel on my thigh is now awake and on my ankle.
The hummingbird drinking from the flower on my hip - alas, it is now on my calf and the flower is dead.
Tattoos like all else drift south with age.

so.. for the sake of discussion... what are the pro's...
btw...I am assuming that you are exaggerating just a little???
( disclaimer.. it is "your" body and "you" can do with it what you want...I just don't see where the pro's outweigh the con's..... )

Pros - they looked really great when I was young and firm. Exaggerating - not.

Not meaning to be a smarty or anything, I waited to get my first tat until I was over 50. Wonder what it will look like in 10-20 years... hmmmm

I don't much care where my tattoo ends up. It was a decision I made that I have to live with.

Hmmmmm interesting, holding, I'm older AND saggier than you but all of my tat's look good and are still placed exactly where they were the day I got them (hip, shoulders x 2, ankle). But I am glad that I never got one on the boobs......it would be a different story....

Mine haven't moved and I'm over 50. Of course I didn't get the first one until I was 50. But I love them! The sexiest one I've ever seen on a guy is tank tracks around the bicep. That looked so good!

Personally, I do not have or plan to get any tattoos on myself....but I do LOVE looking at them on other people...when it's good work. There's nothing worse than seeing crappy tattoo work on someone....& the poor soul has to live with it forever. Blech. Check out the backpiece on this guy....now that looks pretty awesome to me!

I certainly don't regret mine. But, working in a school I made sure that mine are where only I or a SO could see. In the end, it is something I wanted and I have no regrets.

I designed my last tatt and I like it. I don't know if I'll get anymore but it's always a possibility. If I find something I really really like I'd go for it.

Had five tattoos on my arms when a young lad in the navy. Later in civilian life I worked in corporate companies and went to the dizzy heights to the top of my profession but all the while i had to wear long sleeve shirts to hide them because of the serious business world I had existed in.
Now at the age of 50 the colours are fading and the lines are blotchy. I would never recommend tattoos to anyone.
The official medical statement for those who have tattoos are those persons insecure and immature.
Or..... often said to me, "only two kinds of people have tattoos....... sailors and criminals"

I'm not a sailor nor a criminal. I am not insecure, but immature.....well, maybe a bit but that helps make life fun for me. And besides I work with 7-8 year olds. I'd have to be a bit immature to get along with them!
