I'm sitting on my third computer chair in about nine years and it's dead as a door nail! I've never bought bargain basement chairs but I'm contemplating a serious investment (for me!) on a new chair!
Gimme your chair tales! Do you have one to recommend?

Dead as a door nail? Did your chair do tricks at one time?

The chair you picked is a good choice, Jalon. That was my last office chair. Very comfy.

Oddly best one I've parked my personals on was an old, very old one here that was left by an employee. Weighs a ton, heavy base, and quite plain in terms of options compared to the cheap office stuff now but nice. Steps to finding chair. Take Bottom out. Take bottom to chair store. Park bottom in various chairs. Repeat in two stores minimum. Go back home and realize old dead chair feels the same.

My old dead chair is shredded so I'm definitely looking for a chair not upholstered in fabric. I want one with a mesh seat (who really likes a sweaty butt?) and haven't been able to find anything under $250!
Between school work, "work" work, gaming and time I spend here, I am in my chair an awful lot. I suppose you get what you pay for but spending $400+ makes me a little nauseous!

The one I am currently in, I got from the Goodwill, and I like it better then any other one I have bought new! Its an old one, and I have worn some of the seat out, but I keep a blanket on the seat anyway. Its squeeks to high heaven and my son complains, but he'd just find something else to complain about if it wasn't my chair. I don't plan to move it with me, (it is starting to lean sideways) but to get a new one once I am in FL. Don't tell Duvvy.

Mine is a 29.95 clearance (regularly 89) from Staples. It has a deep seat and back, a revolving base. Of course by now, it has a good behind indentation! I love it. You can find good deals like that on brand new, or sometimes get fortunate at garage sales!

I couldn't even swivel a chair like that in my little computer room. I have to be satisfied with an el cheapo Staple's model, too...like Loreli's -- but with a big fat cushion for my bum-bones.
I'd think that mesh would be uncomfortable...wouldn't it be stiff and hard? (and it'd leave weird marks on your butt and thighs if you weren't fully clothed )

I was going to say "try before you buy", but ^^^^

We have mesh chairs at work, not bad but they are expensive...latest thing there for people with back problems - sitting on big exercise balls. To each his own I guess, I'd be laid out on the floor, knowing me...

Excercise ball. It forces you to use excellent posture and is great for your core muscles.

I'd think that mesh would be uncomfortable...wouldn't it be stiff and hard? If I was sitting on mesh, "it" would DEFINITELY be "stiff and hard!"

I knew I was thinking something else as soon as I typed "mesh" followed by "stiff and hard".

I use one of my dining room chairs. It's not the greatest but not the worst either.
