We have more storms again and more flooding as of this time, just when we got over the Tornados and the first flooding, we are hit again. There are so many people stranded and just beginning to go back to their homes and now we are being pummeled again with the storms............I am asking for Prayers for those who are still stranded and have lost everything that they worked so hard for. We have MDer's that have been flooded and have lost alot......I know it is just not in Indiana but since I am from there and have also been affected by this weather, family , friends, co-workers. So lets just send prayers for all affected by this weather.

Lucky, I'll send you and your State all the positive thoughts I have. We've had a bunch of rain, floods, hail and tornadoes in Kansas too. This has been the spring from hell lately! Good luck and stay safe!

Luckily we are in the northern part of Indiana and haven't suffered from the flooding in our area...but we will certainly pray for others less fortunate. My sister lives in Martinsville and they have lost their power and had to stay with relatives and just got back home and now are talking about more flooding.

Georgia has been dry and hot for a few years now.. they can't get enough rain and central USA can't shut it off....ironic, eh?

I wish all our Indiana (and midwest) friends would check in if they can...I just read about mailorderannie's flooded house (I don't know if she wanted it publicized, but she's too much a part of this commuity to let it slide by quietly ~sigh~)

It's hard to imagine what so many have been through lately...my doors always open if anyone wants to bail and head for the high desert.

Bless your heart Sunny.

Reporting in for BBWEyesOfGreen, Soupi, and Rosie, our area is safe, and looks like we may only get some light showers this evening.

Many prayers going up for everyone else thats in the dangerous areas.

I've got two sump pumps running full time and they just opened a short portion of the road in front of my house. The bridge collapsed. Big friggin mess.

It got so bad at one point I had to go down into my basement with my pool pump to save my furnace. Now THAT baby can move some water!

Well on of my younger sisters area was hit by the first of the tornados, now htis heavy rain has flooded her street, but she will survive our family always does. So many of the nurses I work with are stranded where the hard hit areas are, Columbus Hospital is closed and we wil be getting the Pregnant Mommies at our facility and I am sure other hospital will take them also. We have already had 3 from columbus already and delivered one of them. My oldest daughter and my grandson were stranded this weekend but all is well with her at this point, if this rain keeps coming down she may get stranded again. I hope not but if they do I will just try my best not to get in my van and go to the rescue.

You have my prayers...
it's been bad here also.
Last night tornadoes and 100 mph straight line winds. The river is going to crest in a few days, possibly worse than we've seen in flooding.

I keep reading up on this weather. I guess Michigan got some bad stuff too.

What can I say except for everyone to head west.

Who wants to give my aardvark a home?

Reno had another "swarm" of 20 little earthquakes yesterday -- really weird. But that's 65-80 miles away from me and apparently little damage this time around. The last big earthquake out here, where I live, was in the 50's. I'm guessing that's why I have a collapsed brick chimney just sitting in my attic, lol.

I found out what the after-effects of a "mini-flood" can do, even in the desert (my overflowing tub when someone turned on the water main while I was out of town for several months) -- even without the mud and crud, carpet, walls, studs, furniture, linens, clothes, tools, electrical, and EVERYTHING gets wrecked, rusty, musty and moldy in no time at all...and foundations/pilings can get knocked out of whack.

~sigh~ I guess a flood is at least a little better than being hit by a fire or a tornado, but it's a life-changing experience -- including the sadness, frustration, and exhaustion -- something no one needs in these days of trying to "keep afloat" financially and emotionally, even without disaster hitting...
