Talked to my friend yesterday for a few minutes  .. apparently the doctors lied to the family .. and they want to continue with more testing and surgeries etc.. this poor little boy just does not have the strength for all of it.. hes down to 30lbs so it has been requested that he just be kept comfortable as possible and the treatments well... to stop.. hes so scared the hope I heard in my freinds voice was shaky ... please keep the prayers coming Im sorry I have been remiss in the updates its hard to even type this now... the family is just staying by his side and praying I feel so helpless .. there is nothing I can do to help ... except pray .. I know this is killing my friend... and his wife please keep the prayers coming for little Joe thank you

Just got off the phone things are looking better  he ate a nanna and some ensure and then said "that was good .. can I have McDonalds?" Ill bet my friend broke a few laws rushing to get Mickey Ds for him .. he said he had some cheeseburger and some choc shake.. but ANY food and him WANTING to eat is wonderful right now the Joy in my freinds voice OMG it was wonderful!!! I wished him a Happy Fathers Day and he almost cried .. he said " yes its a wonderful one !!" Keep the prayers coming please oh please ... and thank you so much for all you have already said and all the healing energies you have sent thank you thank you

Nother call from my friend this AM.. Little Joe is eating and is up to 42 lbs hes able to do a lot of things now and is getting better every day thank you all for your prayers please keep them coming for it is a long road ahead

I posted it earlier int he thread I thought.. they found a mass on his brain and operated on it that day removed a mass about 1"by2" in size (thumb size) from the base of his brain by where the fluids drain.. that relived the pressure and most of the headaches and nausea.. they found it to be cancerous but not what kind it is yet .. still... the doc said they could not remove a thread like part of it as it was too close to the spinal column.. but as far as I have heard he is doing much better , hes eating hes talking and lifting his head and sitting up ... and has gained about 12 lbs in a few days up from 30lbs to 42 lbs getting steadily stronger they are still at the lets wait and see stage as to what the next step is gonna be .. but my friend said he believes he will be strong enough to go walk outta there in about a week or so to go home I pray he his right!! He has been moved out of ICU so yeah hes doing great YAYY YAYAYAYAY More prayers plesae folks .. like I said its a long road yet to be traveled thank you

Okay a little update been tryin not to jinx the wonderful progress...:Lil Joe is up and walking about 3 weeks before the docs said he would  he is eating and getting stronger by the day!! Keep the prayers and sending of good energies coming  to help in this wondrous recovery thank you!!!!! BTW I believe him being moved to Childrens Hosp had a lot to do with his fast recovery...More specialized care and the ability for the parents to stay with him and I KNOW that my friend and his drive to see his son well and him doing everything possible to make it so is a big factor ..

Count me "in" the prayer circle!!! You know how I feel about the Power of Prayer. Also for those close to him to "see" him as well and whole "right now". I'm sooooo glad to hear he is eating, up, and walking AND at Children's!!!! I am also a walking advertisement for Ensure!!!! Our body uses sooooooo many calories to heal that it takes almost twice as many as usual to maintain or put on weight (at least it did for me). I ATE well AND still downed 3 Ensure a day to maintain AND ADD weight. I swear by the stuff!!! It's expensive, but worth every penny.
Idea - if anyone wants to know what they can do to help? Help buy Ensure. Just a thought.
We've got good prayers in here! I'm a testimony to that!!!!

Cracker Jack Pat.. yeah I know about Ensure in fact when I first heard about what was happening I told my friend to get him some.. he had no clue about the stuff and get it for him now thank you and everyone for your prayers
