Our flooding is the worst ever, already beating the record by 2 foot, with at least 2 more feet expected.
Our downtown is almost completely underwater, homes swallowed up to their 2nd floor, a railroad bridge collapsed, furniture floating down the river.
I was woke up by FEMA this morning.because my daughter is hanidcapped-they wanted to know if I would need help for an evacuation. WHUT? I'm on top of a hill...
He said the street at the bottom of my street is a canal for river overflow and sewers.
It's pouring again now.
They are shutting down almost all main access into town. We are all on 9 pm curfew...So far only one person had to be pulled from the river...many rescued by boat.

I'm so sorry Precious. I'll say a prayer for you and the Iowans. You said your home is on a hill? Is it high enough to prevent flooding?

I pray that the Lord will keep you, your family, and your property safe through this tough flood.
BTW Lord can you spare some rain for Georgia and let Loreli remain safe because you sent her rain here?

I just went through a flood...I'm praying for you all and let people know people in Indiana know what you are going through and sending prayers your way.

sends Loreli waterproofing mix, scuba gear, wet suit, private pontoon boat, 1 grade A floating away furniture catcher...it only goes after the new stuff.
Can you send me a shot of you in the wet suit please? I bought it one size smaller so you won't get caught on anything....

I'm keeping everyone in my prayers that are effected one way or another by all the flooding and rain. I wish it was possible to share the rain and send it to places that really need it and are suffering from lack of it, because the Mid-west sure has more then enough. Take Care -Ash

I was going to send you an email Loreli after hearing about Cedar Rapids on the news.You asked me the other day if everything was alright here and it was...until today.
Were getting the same storm you just had.A funnel cloud was spotted by a State Trooper in Milford.Thats three miles away and two more tornadoes touched down within 25 miles.No damage Ive heard of yet.
The river I told you that was still far below my 14' bank is within 2 feet from the top and not supposed to crest until Saturday.Ive got two sumps going in my basement and they are keeping it contained for now at about a foot deep.
Brendas chickenhouse will get the river overflow first so were darn close to making the back of my work truck a chicken house.
It wont be long and I wont have anywhere to send the sump pump water.
I may loose the basement to flooding but not the house if the river doesnt crest more than four more feet.
I still wont have as near as bad as those folks up at Lake Delton.The lake completely emptied out taking the houses with it that were in the way of the washout.
Our county was giving away sandbags so I went down to get some this morning but couldnt get to the county warehouse...roads closed to flooding.I did get some from a fire department in another town.
Waters for drinkin and fishin.
