And on that note…

What is all this shit about angels? Have you heard this? Three out of four people now, believe in angels. What're you, f***in' stupid? Has everybody lost their f***in' minds in this country? Angels, shit. You know what I think it is? I think it's a massive collective psychotic chemical flashback of all the drugs - all the drugs - smoked, swallowed, snorted, shot, and absorbed rectally by all Americans from 1960 to 1990. Thirty years of adulterated street drugs'll get you some f***in' angels, my friend.
"Angels", You Are All Diseased

I've begun worshipping the Sun for a number of reasons. First of all, unlike some other gods I could mention, I can see the Sun. It's there for me every day. And the things it brings me are quite apparent all the time: heat, light, food, reflections at the park... the occasional skin cancer, but hey. There's no mystery, no one asks for money, I don't have to dress up, and there's no boring pageantry. But I don't pray to the sun - it wouldn't be polite to presume on our friendship. You know who I pray to? Joe Pesci.
"There Is No God", You Are All Diseased (1999)

This conversation is bound to turn up. Two guys in a street meet each other and one of them says, "hey, did you hear? Phil Davis died". "Phil Davis? I just saw him yesterday." "Yeah, didn't help. He died anyway. Apparently, the simple act of you seeing him did not slow down his cancer. In fact, it may have made it more aggressive. You know, you could be the cause for Phil's Death, how, do you live with yourself?"
"It's Bad for Ya" (2008)

Goodbye Mr. Carlin, we salute you.

One of his best routines....

MY NEXT LIFE
By George Carlin

I want to live my next life backwards:
You start out dead and get that out of the way.
Then you wake up in a nursing home feeling better every day.
Then you get kicked out for being too healthy.
Enjoy your retirement and collect your pension.
Then when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day
you work 40 years until you're too young to work.
You get ready ;for High School: drink alcohol, party, and you're generally promiscuous.
Then you go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, and you have no responsibilities.
Then you become a baby, and then...
You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in
luxury, in Spa-like conditions - central heating, room service on tap, and then...
You finish off as an orgasm.
I rest my case.

From my Blog (posted 4/23/2006) I Try Hard was taken from A George Carlin Skit.

I’m a modern man, a man for the millennium. Digital and smoke free, a diversified, multi-cultural, post modern deconstructionist, politically, anatomically and ecologically incorrect.

I’ve been uplinked and downloaded. I’ve been inputted and outsourced. I know the upside of downsizing. I know the downside of upgrading. I’m a high tech lowlife. A cutting edge, state of the art, bi-coastal, multi-tasker and I can give you a gigabyte in a nano second.

I’m new wave, but I’m old school. And my inner child is outward bound. I’m a hotwired, heat seeking, warm hearted, cool customer, voice activated and biodegradable.

I interface from a database and the database is in cyberspace, so I’m interactive, hyperactive and from time to time I’m radioactive. I’m behind the 8-ball, ahead of the curve, riding the wave, dodging the bullet and pushing the envelope. I’m on point, on task, on message and off drugs. I got no need for coke and speed. I got no urge to binge and purge. I’m in the moment, on the edge, over the top, but under the radar.

I'm a high concept, low profile, medium ranged ballistic visionary. I'm a street wised smart bomb, a top gun bottom feeder. I wear power ties, I tell power lies, I take power naps, I run victory laps. I’m a totally ongoing Bigfoot, slam-dunk rain maker with a pro-active outreach. I'm a raging work-a-holic, and a working rage-a-holic in denial.

Sometimes I have a personal assistant, a personal trainer and a personal agenda. You can’t shut me up, you can’t dumb me down because I’m tireless and I’m wireless. I’m an Alpha-male on Beta-blockers. I’m a believer, I’m an over achiever, laid back and fashioned forward, upfront, down home, low rent, high maintenance. I’m super-sized, long lasting, high definition, fast acting, oven ready, and built to last. A hands-on, foot loose, knee jerk-head case. I'm pre-maturely post dramatic, dreaming for a love child who'd send me hate mail, but I’m feeling and caring, I’m healing, I’m sharing. A supportive, bonding, nurturing, primary care-giver.

My output is down and my income is up. I take a short position on the long bond, and my revenue stream has its own cash flow. I read junk mail, I eat junk food, I buy junk bonds and I watch trash sports.

I’m gender specific, capital-intensive, user friendly and lactose intolerant. I like rough sex, I like tough love. I use the F-word in my e-mails, and the software on my hard drive is hard core…. No soft porn.

I bought a microwave in a mini mall, I bought a miniature in a mega store. I eat fast food in the slow lane. I’m toll free, bite sized, ready to wear and I cum in all sizes. I'm a fully equipped, factory authorized, hospital tested, clinically proven, scientifically formulated, medically miracle.

I’ve been pre-washed, precooked, preheated, prescreened, pre-approved, prepackaged, postdated, freeze dried, double wrapped, vacuumed packed and I have an unlimited broadband capacity.

I’m a rude dude, but the real deal. I'm mean and lean, cawked, locked and ready to rock. I'm rough, tough and hard to bluff. I take it slow, I go with the flow, I ride with the tide, I’ve got glide in my stride. Driving and moving, sailing and spinning, jiving and grooving, wailing and winning. I don’t snooze so I don’t loose. I keep my pedal to the metal, and the rubber on the road. I party hardy, and lunchtime is crunch time. I’m hanging in, there ain’t no doubt, and I’m hanging tough.

Over and out.

I loved his routines. My favorite was the baseball one. I will miss him. Funny, I just watched a really old special of his on HBO over the weekend. It was like I was supposed to see his work one more time before he died.

For those of us with XM Radio, XM Comedy channel (150) is broadcasting George Carlin's routines and unique interviews all day today.

I would not be surprised if Sirius Radio is doing something similar.

Loved the guy - esp his sh*t routine and the difference between basball and football. Classic. I'll miss ya, George!
