Alarm clock goes off, ... hit snooze, ...twice

Downstairs for coffee (one cup for now)

Back upstairs - mediate and/or pilates machine

Shower

Back downstairs for coffee (lots of it) while I watch the news

Back upstairs, get ready for work

Get Chad up (that's it for him, he's self sufficient)

Make sure pup has food/water

Out the door !!!

Shower etc,,,get dressed. Into the kitchen...first feed the four cats, then the two dogs. Grab a banana for breakfast and out the door, no coffee till I get to work.

New routine tomorrow - I'm not driving!!! One of the guys at work's another super early bird - we live four miles apart and work the same schedule so we're gonna try car pooling. Hope it works!

Of course Tuesdays are different - I telecommute!

Fall out of bed.

Stumble to coffee maker.

Light a smoke.

Check email and my websites.

Finish pot of coffee.

Go to Hell, I mean, go to work.

My routine right now is different than during the school year:
Alarm goes off at 6 am, hit snooze twice then travel alarm goes off so I have to get up.
Bathroom.
Breakfast, feed indoor cats and spray CJ's leg.
Go back to bed to read for 15-20 min.
On Monday, put on shorts and tank and Nikes.
Tuesday through Friday, put on swimming suit, slip on Sketchers and long t-shirt.
Feed and water outdoor cats (and racoon family).
Head to town (20 miles).
On Monday, go to park to walk 1-2 miles.
Tuesday through Friday, to the community pool for water aerobics.
Home between 10 and 11 a.m.
Time for a nap!

Realize my eyes are open.
Hope I didn't walk in my sleep and move my glasses off the nightstand. Put glasses on.
Try to stand up. Realize my arthritis didn't magically disappear since I was last awake.
Get on my feet and find my where I last left my coffee cup (living room or office).
Rinse and fill cup. Put in microwave for 1 minute 40 seconds.
Walk over to office area, punch on button on computer.
Walk back over and lean on counter in front of microwave until 1 minute 40 seconds has elapsed.
Take cup of now-hot water out of microwave, add one heaping teaspoon of Folger's instant and 1-1/2 teaspoons of sugar. Begin sipping coffee. Find cigarettes. Light one.
Step over to kitchen table Get a vitamin tablet and two acetaminophen caplets from bottles. (Wonder for 1278th day in a row why I haven't disabled the child-proof cap on the acetaminophen bottle.) Wash down vitamin and APA, and walk back around to office area.
Gingerly lower myself into the chair and peer at the screen, wondering what I can eliminate from start-up menu to make it boot up faster. Start checking e-mails for ones worth actually reading. Day is variable from that point on.

And all this is going to change after next week when I start a new job. (Sometime the week of July 8th.) I'll be working 12-15 hours a day and probably have to set the alarm, most likely for 2 in the afternoon.
Then my morning routine will be:
Sometime around 7 o'clock: Sigh heavily, hit shutdown sequence on computer. Decide if I want a last drink of coffee and a cigarette. Stumble in, shuck clothes, fall onto bed. Realize laying on my glasses hurts the side of my nose. Put glasses on nightstand. Lay back down. Raise back up, put glasses back on, check to make sure alarm is set for 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Put glasses on nightstand. Collapse and pass out.

Being my own businessman I don't have any particular routine. I'm free to do whatever I wish.

I don't have a particular morning routine either....I get up when I get up & do what I want to do....well, within reason...some days I DO have to wake up in time to let the 6 y/o in who is staying with me during summer break.

I did enjoy reading all of these though & must admit, I found mom's quite interesting....

Oh, Puh-LEEZE, Miss Kitty...

I'm usually on line and working by 5:30, and you're not even heading to the bathroom until after 7.

Does this have anything to do with my "late morning " today, and waking you too early?

Still, you are lovelier sound asleep and "purring" than any other woman I've ever know. Who need makeup with a "first time I open my eyes" smile as bright as yours?
